Omg. The old skates! I remember wearing those, trying to get them as tight as possible with the skate keys. Then flying down the sidewalk only to have one falling off and you wipe out, skinned knees, arms and all. Lol. And yes, I am that old, they were what we wore in the mid 1960's. 😂
I wore them in the 50s .....the ones at the estate sale weren't 2 different sizes, they were simply adjusted to 2 different sizes....they could do that back they.
Love your video. Don't know if you have already gotten a response, but the silver container is a vintage english 😊scuttle that held sugar and was then 'scooped out.'
Julie that silver item with the tiny scoop is a fancy candy/nut dish and you use the little scoop to scoop out the goodies! That looked like a really nice one!☺️ I see you actually picked it up!
The rollerskates were not two different sizes. They used to be expandable so they actually grew with you. I had a pair when I was young a very long time ago.I wish I was there to get them😂😂😂
Your nails are fine! I don’t watch you to see them, but to see what you thrift! I don’t understand why people have to complain about how all the lady TH-camrs nails look…it’s the content of your video that matters to me! I know a lot of ladies get their nails done because they like it. I just think you don’t have to apologize to us when you get busy and haven’t had them done. Besides some of the repurposing you do is hard on a ladies nails. You do great work and everything you do is awesome! 😊
I had 2 male pheasants in my yard today. They hung out for a long time in the soy bean fields on either side of my house. It was 2 males. They are the on 5:41 e with the "hood" on their head. They are very colorful and beautiful!!The female doesn't have that hood.
I believe the silver scoop on a scoop was for peanuts. Brass birds are pheasants. Large metal sissors in garage were called tin snips, or cutting tin roofing and fences. Best place to start an estate sale is in the basement, the cheaper stuff is moved down there so make 2 passes, before and after.❤
The “scissors” in the garage were not scissors. They were tin snips. The “snuffers” as you called them are actually snuff jars. The strength of the snuff is indicated on the bottom of the glass jar with tiny “bumps” in the glass. 1 bump is mild flavor and goes up the 4 bumps. There may have been 5 bumps for strongest but I have never seen them.
FYI The old shoe skates were not 2 different sizes. Roller skated on some just like it back in the day. They adjust to fit the shoe you are wearing which by the way, must have a thick sole for it to work. Roller skates and playing jacks and hopscotch. The 50s were a great time to grow up.
The skates are 2 different sizes because they are adjustable. There is a key that we used to wear around our neck, and we could tighten and loosen the nut underneath, and then share the skates with someone else.
I absolutely love your videos. Love watching you Thrift and go through everything. For me I can't see you pay pennies for something and then go on your website and have to spend $25 on it as an example. I understand the whole concept of all of that, the reselling aspect of it all of course and especially if you did some work to it. I just love your videos all around and I love your accent too. Im in Ontario and well its dull up here as in accents.😂 Makes everything sound fancy 🎉
I didn't see the old oil can in your haul. Did you leave it or get it. It was my favorite. I have never come across one of those in my thrifting adventures.
The wooden piece/cabinet on the floor looked like an old cassette holder?? So many frames & art pieces! Love the picture & frame on the swivel❤ That doilie table runner was gorgeous! That clock was stunning! All the things you picked up was absolutely amazing! We would be picking up the same pieces lol😄 Definitely enjoyed you taking us along!
I enjoy watching your thrift videos. You are so young now and growing your business ... I was there once! I made a lot of mistakes, and I still do (at 52)! I just wanted to mention a couple of things. I am watching this one and just finished the newer one, and I see you looking at things and questioning what they are or quickly glancing and saying they are not matching or are broken or so forth. I would highly recommend, especially at nice (even on the third day) sales like the latest estate sale, that you take some time to try to investigate for just a few minutes. Ask questions of those around. Ask Google. Take a Google lens shot. If you don't care to know then, you may study it later. The tray with the holes (last video) is a carving board that holds pegs to custom fit around your meat to avoid shifting for safety. They are so hard to find and can be quite valuable. The skates are adjustable, but since you did not pick them up, you just said they were not the same size. Just look at the memories folks are posting about those! I'd love to have seen you grab them! As for the rugs, understand why they were so high. What where they made if and where were they from? How old were they and what was their condition? They may have been $8-10K rugs, seriously. I've bought rugs, furniture, china, crystal, art and so on for what seemed like high asking prices. But, their appraisal values after the estate sales and auctions were often four or five times higher. Start putting a little bit extra $ aside, so as you andyour husband find those pieces in the future, you may invest in one piece at a time to curate your home beautifully. Buy up new, sell off old, repeat when you find your next unicorn! Yeah, I would have loved that rug in my laundry room, too! LOL! There were so many treasures that by just taking a little extra time at an estate sale or auction will often prove much more valuable than than a dozen trips to GW! That was just three examples. I would have had a field day at both places! And, I still have to ask a lot of questions! I hope you do not mind my sharing my thoughts. You have such a wonderful personality and your presentations of your products and what you offer are wonderful! I look forward to seeing you grow as you are able to do a little more digging, figuratively and literally (get all up in those shelves, cabinets, tables, boxes, girl)! All the best to you as you continue to grow and shine!
So many things there brought back memories of my childhood. First was the metal roller skates. I would put on my shoes and the skates and just skate up and down the sidewalk. Next was the sand picture. I had 2 one with pink, purple, white and glitter. The other one was the blue and white like was at the sale. My Mom had several things that were at the sale. She had one of the scoops with the baby scoop. I don't know what it was for but I will say sugar, salt, or just decorative. That house I could see my Mom in because so many things she had or would have had. Thanks for sharing and bringing back some good memories.
You got some AMAZING items! Can’t wait to see them staged and posted! Unfortunately I can’t buy your items as I’m in Canada!😢 But at least I know what I need to look for locally!
I think one hundred dollars was still a great price. I love all the same things you do. I hope you got the cookbook. I loved the long piece you got outside. I love digging at estate sales..hate when they throw out stuff before the sale. I dont like pristine estate sales 😂❤❤❤❤love watchimg you get good buys.
The metal flower thing on a long stake is likely a decorative hose guide. I have them around my house and they keep water hoses from moving across flower beds or delicate plants. If you look just below the flower there is a 1-1.5" concave circle that allows the hose a smooth place to set.
I love that silver piece but I don’t have the shovel it’s so pretty. That sand art could be displayed on that stand right there. Brass thing in garage make cute candle holder. Picture frame was favorite not sure if you got it
I wanted to try either painting and adding transfers or decoupage. But I also love the idea of leaving as is and styling with plants! @@kristantaylor1087
So many neat items! Lots of favorites for me! I thought that brass clamp thingy you found in the garage was so cool! I love the rusty crusty stuff too! Lol
Hi I’ve been watching for a long time what did you use to make your online website to sell in…. I’ve had a posh closet for 8 years and need my own website darling
Omg. The old skates! I remember wearing those, trying to get them as tight as possible with the skate keys. Then flying down the sidewalk only to have one falling off and you wipe out, skinned knees, arms and all. Lol. And yes, I am that old, they were what we wore in the mid 1960's. 😂
Me too! Also when those metal wheels hit a piece of gravel or rock on the sidewalk you came to an abrupt stop and when flying also😅
Yep I can still hear the sound they made on the sidewalk!
I wore them in the 50s .....the ones at the estate sale weren't 2 different sizes, they were simply adjusted to 2 different sizes....they could do that back they.
We had the boy and girl playing flute and holding her ears on our piano for years . 1960's❤. Loved everything you bought, as usual 😊
The flower thing that goes in the ground is a hose guide so the hose doesn’t smash your flowerbed
The tiny brass chickens are my favorite❤
Me too!
Yes,yes so cute
The skates adjust to the size you need. One is just extended more than the other. =)
WOW! They brought back sweet memories.
@@wilmaburns5280 Me too.
And you carried the key on a string around your neck in case they loosened up. 😂
@@annieo9468 Yes, we did!! I wish I still had my key 😊😊
Love your video. Don't know if you have already gotten a response, but the silver container is a vintage english 😊scuttle that held sugar and was then 'scooped out.'
I can just imagine my allergies flaring up in a house like that- lots of dust and musty carpets. 😂 I can almost smell it now. 😅😬
Ooo relaxing after dinner and your video popped up- how exciting!! Love watching when you go to these sales! Thanks for sharing
Julie that silver item with the tiny scoop is a fancy candy/nut dish and you use the little scoop to scoop out the goodies! That looked like a really nice one!☺️
I see you actually picked it up!
I liked the sand art, it could be displayed on an easel
More estate sales please!!! My fave!
That flower spike might have been a hose guide, to keep your hose out of the garden bed.
Loved the look of that brass clamp that you were thinking you could slide over a glass cylinder. Interesting!
Looking. At this makes me so glad I did a huge purge of things several years ago and am still going through small items.
The rollerskates were not two different sizes. They used to be expandable so they actually grew with you. I had a pair when I was young a very long time ago.I wish I was there to get them😂😂😂
Get the sand in the plastic!! The price online is high!!!!! I had one but not now.
I feel like your brain would be in overload imagining what you could do with all of those things which is a blessing and a slight curse 😂😂😂

Agree I hate when people complain about utubers...they are human with feelings and we don't pay for a video. My motto is Be Kind ❤❤❤❤
I think you do better at the bins when you find afghans. The birds are pheasants. Neat video
I had 2 male pheasants in my yard today. They hung out for a long time in the soy bean fields on either side of my house. It was 2 males. They are the on 5:41 e with the "hood" on their head. They are very colorful and beautiful!!The female doesn't have that hood.
I love the pair of brass birds! I also can’t believe you came across some faux artichokes! I can never find those and I love them!!
The silver scoop with the small scoop is for serving after dinner mints
I’ve never seen one of those ! Thnx for the 411 !
My parents used to have one just like that one. I don't know what happened to it.
The flower was a hose guard.
Thank u for allowing us to tag along 😊 it's fun, exciting not to have to leave my house...thank you 😊❤😊

The oil can is awesome you got great items
I love all frames that aren't rectangular
The “scissors” in the garage were not scissors. They were tin snips.

Loved loved the little brass chickens 🐔 🐔
Great haul at this estate sale Julie!

Loved the brass pheasants.
Love the books and the item you found in the garage that you mentioned putting glass in it!! Very cool!!
I think the silver plate container with the tiny scoop is for sugar. Would like to hear if anyone thinks differently.
It is for sugar!
Yes, Englishel sugar scuttle.
Looks like you passed up a cutco knife set with white handles in Canada they retail for $900.00 a set.
Loved the patina'd outdoor floral candleholder!
Thank goodness you grabbed that swivel picture frame, love them, been looking for years.
The skates are 2 different sizes because they are adjustable. There is a key that we used to wear around our neck, and we could tighten and loosen the nut underneath, and then share the skates with someone else.
I believe the giant scissors were tin snips. You got some great stuff.😊

I have a frame like that. I have a wedding picture of my great grandparts in it.

I would have snagged the white outdoor wicker furniture set! It would be perfect on a covered deck with beautiful pillows and throws! ❤️
That was a great sale!! Love the brass animals!! ❤❤❤
The cowboy hats looked nice
The swinging (I think that's what it's called) frame. I've always wanted one.
So many great items...loved the brass pheasants❤
in the pile of reader digest books was one in orange and black. good for halloween and fall decor
I absolutely loved the metal part you found in the garage, my husband said it looks like a cylinder compression ring for auto engine work! ❤
I watch your videos every time and thank you for sharing. From Alaska ❤
the white candle holder thingie from the garden items. Love it!
The Philippines cabinet is for cassette tapes

I think that wooden shelf with the slots is for holding cds.
Great, great finds!!!! I had so much fun shopping with you!!!
I just found the same swivel frame and picture at an estate sale. 2 bucks.
That was a good one!😊
Don’t know where you live, but prices seem high. I got a complete set of china for $68. Apparently people don’t like china 🙁
You got some awesome stuff loved it all❤
Thanks for sharing.
