    Greetings from Australia! ☺️ Subscribed as soon as I realised you were the lady from the other video I saw (with your sister and baby, with the roll-on recipes ☺️) Thank you so much for the amazing video content!
    I’m new to the aromatherapy world! I recently bought A LOT of variety of essentials oils… only to realised after researching, many articles mentioning “less is best”
    So now I’m trying to educate myself to better understand all these calculations for blending and the unlimited uses of essential oils
    In saying that, I’m hoping to create my own blends to give away to family and friends as a gift to enjoy and to prevent wastage (on my part) and hopefully they’ll get into aromatherapy with me 🥰

    Hello, I'm very excited to try this recepie, but I have a question: 1. Don't the surficies stink like winegar after? 2. The essencial oils are.. well, oily. Don't they leave the surfacies a little oily? Thank you!

    I'm new here and very interested in oils. I don't have very many I have lavender, wal mart Lemon and sweet orange oils. but what I have tried I love. I've been using baking soda and vinegar for a long while to clean with and I love the vinegar with the mother for cooking and for taking and for my hair. Looking forward to more education on the oils. Thanks again for the videos

    If essential oils are natural, then so is kerosene, tequila, and whiskey. They are all derived from a natural source, and have all been processed in a similar fashion. They have the common link of being solvents. They also have common properties such as being antimicrobials. But I don't see anyone touting the benefits of Tequila to kill germs, yet ethanol is exactly what is being used today in hand sanitizers. Nobody touts the benefits of tequila as a cleaner, but it makes a great one.

    Making all these products great one question what is the most important ones to keep in dark glass bottles as they are quite expensive i have lots of plastic bottles is keeping them in dark cupboard any better if I get glass bottles that are not as large do I just half mixture really enjoying making these natural things makes you feel good

    • @ouroilyhouse
      @ouroilyhouse  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use clear bottles if you plan to keep them out of direct sunlight or else they can lose potency overtime. Also essential oils can break down plastic so glass is best!

    Hey, just a question on the dish soap! I've been using this hand soap recipe and love it! However I've done a dish soap one and it leaves a oily/greasy residue on my dish after... I think this could be due to the fact we have very harsh water here, so does that nullify the strength of the castile soap? Many thanks, really appreciating your channel!

  • @shellyk5423
    @shellyk5423 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Just love your TH-cam channel. A hint that I learned to making the dish soap and hand soap was to put the water in first then the oils, and castle soap. Then the suds did not spill over the bottle and loose nearly 1/4 of the dish soap. Please keep on sharing your health choices.

    I too am on replacing chemicals with natural less toxic products. But what to do with the comical cleaners I still have? I use them why waste resources. Plus in some cases, I can reuse the bottles after a good wash. I found you do have to understand basic chemistry. For example, baking soda and vinegar mixed together not the best cleaning mixture separately they are great. However, you have to take care of what surfaces vinegar is used on

      I just realised the research about the oils is looking at them straight out of the bottle. The problem is, in the homemade stuff they are watered down and therefore they must loose their strength?
      Vinager is not acidy enough on it own to be an effective at killing germs. I think I might go back to shop brought and clean with confidence.

    • @ouroilyhouse
      @ouroilyhouse  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure it will work, be sure to shake it up before use. I do it the other way and usually let the baking soda sit before spraying it and brushing it.

      It’s Dr. Bronners. You can get it from Amazon. I got lucky and our local Walgreens had the big bottles marked down for clearance about a month ago. I got 2 for the price of 1. Check your local Walgreens in the cosmetic department. It was the lavender scented one.

      I just use lemon, it works really well! I will put a few drops on it and let it sit for awhile and then wipe it off.
