  • I recently purchased 6 inch lift coils from Ironman 4x4 on their FALL25 sale as well as the other components necessary to lift the 80 series land cruiser an obnoxious and unnecessary 6 inches (7 in the front with coil spacers). In this video I go over how to install them, specifically if you don't have a lift

      Have you had to deal with slow windows in the cold temperatures? Any ways to fix this?

      @@kylestevenson1778 yes mine are terribly slow. I don’t really care and assist them with my hands 🤣 there’s some write ups on mud about solutions i think

    Just put this lift on my 80 a few weeks ago and drove 3600 miles on it from Missouri to Alaska. I noticed when putting mine in that the instructions for the radius arm drop brackets were wrong (at least for mine). I had to put the opposite ones in for both sides if that makes sense, they just wouldnt go in and line up on top for those attachment nuts on the top of the frame. I didn't know about the double cardan and boy that vibration was scary!

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m glad you noticed that as well! I thought maybe my frame was bent and couldn’t get them oriented as they are in the instructions either! I ended up installing them the same way you did and haven’t had any problems. I ended up having to do dual cardan in the front and retube (lengthen) the rear. Maybe a video on it a couple weeks ago!

    I'm doing an Old Man Emu 3 inch lift on my 96. I watched people messing with the correction casters and opted for those drop brackets instead. I just want to run 35" tires with breathing room.

      @Austin_SaintOnge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! Good call! I’m definitely impressed with the way the truck handles with them. Some people don’t like the way they look but I actually don’t mind them. And much like the delta panhard bracket is the better choice for correcting the rear angle, I think the drop brackets are for the front as well after 3-4 inches of lift

    I didnt put extended control arms on the rear. Damaged my ABS wire in the process of the installation and ended up taking the whole module out along with the LSPV and re-lining everything to a non-ABS master cylinder.

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice. Yeah that sounds like the way to go without having to deal with abs. I actually found mine helpful this last week wheeling on steep icy roads on the way to the trail though. Yeah you don’t HAVE to have adjustable control arms in the rear. I’m planning on running 40s so I needed to revenged the axle while I was under there. I did that in the part 2 of the install

    How does it ride in the freeway?

    • @Austin_SaintOnge
      @Austin_SaintOnge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It drives surprisingly straight but I’m still going to be adding the delta vehicle systems rear panhard bracket and correcting my pinion angle with adjustable links. I’ll be doing videos on all of the above in the near future. Of course with a lift of this degree it doesn’t take turns at high speeds the same as stock but as long as you don’t drive like ken block it’s totally fine.
