Poppt1, the man, the myth, the legend, who got a 76% on a math test, has a girlfriend, is a basketball player, and is also a Smash TH-camr ..... hmmm something isn’t right
this was very helpful. I remember when I first heard you talking about movement I was confused and started just running left to right when I was on the opposite side of the stage from my opponent for no reason.
I'm really happy to see a return to more educational smash vids. I love the way you can break down difficult concepts and show how top players implement them.
Definitely would like more of this series. The old 'The mind of" videos were really good but the script was always very robotic. You're so much better now!
PLEASE DO MORE OF THESE. You're one of my favorite smash TH-camrs, and I don't understand why I'm so bad at the game. I'll definitely watch this video back and practice, but thank you so much for starting these. You're helping a lot of people, believe me
Poppt guides let's GOOOOOOOO!!!!! And really, I would LOVE this to be a series!!! You're great at teaching smash, and it's great content! Honestly, this changes how I look at my gameplay in smash entirely. Thank you so much!
jordan thank you so much for doing this. I've been on a training arc for a few months and i've kinda started to slow down a bit. These videos are going to be perfect for me and i assume a lot of other people as well. Also (just a little tip), what will probably be the most effective would be to upload one of these like every week or so so that way people can practice with it if they are trying to get better. Just a suggestion and i don't really care what you do. Love you man keep up the good work
Man this tutorial is hella clean. Since you already talked about the subject in one of your "mind of" videos, it's good that you are showing a lot of examples in real matches.
Loved this Poppt - was so helpful! Definitely would like more in this series! Also, those examples of bait and punish against Holly were perfectly executed - nicely done, haha!
This is the exact kinda thing I hear people like Alpharad mention how easy it is and I just didn’t know how to so thank you so much for making this, poppt the legend Edit: The clips on Holly were godly, keep up the great work
"You can't do that to your kid anymore" you caught me offguard man ! Nice application of the bait and punish strategy in real life. Such a great teacher x)
This may not get as many views as some other content, but this is what the people want PS. loved the use of on-screen drawing tools to really help visualize the concepts
I love this series idea! Since you asked for our thoughts I think it'd be interesting if you shared some of your personal experiences or playing habits about the topic
I know this video isn’t quite the most successful you’ve had, but I really enjoyed it and I think it was really useful. I hope you can make more in the future!
MORE... I need MORE of this... like every time!!! MORE!!! This is one REALLY incredible video talking about in-depth analyzes, how to actually become BETTER not only by example but also in THEORY!!!
I've done the bait & punish playstyle alot of times (namely with characters like Bowser, Wolf, Mewtwo, & Lucario) so this will definitely help improve my own bait & punish gameplay
I just wanna tell you that I really appreciate your content, and I look forward to it everyday. I'm really glad to see all the improvement you've made since last year and the quality of your videos.
Yes, please continue with this, I’m a new player who’s just learned how to tech and wall jump in a real game instead of just training mode, and this kinda stuff will help me get better at doing these kinds of things :D
Bro that movement that Poppt did against Holly was godlike. Perfectly spaced, high damaging. Outstanding move.
Edit: I can’t believe it happened again
That happend because he was chill
He bait and switched us with his first bait and switch clip
Optimal, you could say, like bananas
it was Optimal
+ He dodged a tipper
PLEASE MAKE THIS A NEW SERIES....I NEED THIS
Yes! He should do one for every character!
He does have a "how to" series on his channel, not sure how it deviates from the format
@@lightstarluigi that would take a whole bunch of time
Poppt1, you are a hilarious boy. You somehow incorporated Smash concepts into real life. "And perfectly moved out of the way, outspacing her move."
rip Holly she couldn't withstand the power of the 76% on the math test
Combined with the power of the Dalai Lama
I stopped watching a couple of poppt1 vids, when did he mention this 76%
@@zanyskeleton5291 in his school stories video. Idk why that joke blew up so much tbh
YES I NEED THIS OMGG

Just watch little Z's video on how to win.
Oh My God God?
Hello aaron
That "real life example" cracked me up so hard, I was not expecting that at all 😂
local Australian man abuses girlfriend. Defendant claimed that he "baited and punished to win the stock"
underated comment
@@golden9859 probably because he didn’t mention a “76%”
You should have said “holly want to spend some time with me...”
Holly: “Yeah”
Poppt: “...playing smash”
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

@@bungo2514 he said it in one of his videos that moving out and furniture take a bunch of time
@@zfx6119 thanks for the info. I wasn't sure why they weren't uploading
I actually need videos like this, and since it's coming from one of my favorite TH-camrs... Make this bad boy a series!!!
the pain in hollys eyes as she is inevitably downloaded, 3 stocked, and pulled into an uphill climb going forward into game 2
I never realized how much I play unga bunga style in smash bros until now, I usually throw myself at the enemy so this will help.
I know right? I immediately run to the opponent and grab I play defensive
This is specifically the thing I've been trying to learn.
Of course a guy with 76% on his math test can teach you how to bait and punish
@@wt180. *Not old enough*
This is so dead. Stop
It’s funny because in the us a 76 is a bad grade
This is why you subscribe, guys.

Yes! I love these types of guides and educational stuff!
This reminds me of the mind of series, but I'm really liking the extra emphasis on top player matches!
I’ve just finished the intro and this man is already flexing he has a girlfriend. So I’m definitely going to keep watching.
13:30 I really feel this. Same goes for chess. I feel like there's so much to be learned watching how good players dismantle us bad players.
poppts biggest advantage as a creator is his ability to simplify stuff like this. its unique
This is amazing. THe amount of insight from a man who scores 76% on a math test is insane. seriously though the last match analysis taught me so much
need more of this tbh, I’m a casual and this stuff helps me destroy my friends
Only a man with a 76 on his math test can explain this.
You beat me too it lol. This joke will never get old.

I really like this! I've been trying to get more into competitive smash, you should do more of these
Yes I play PICHU and I need to learn spacing love the series
this was very helpful. I remember when I first heard you talking about movement I was confused and started just running left to right when I was on the opposite side of the stage from my opponent for no reason.
Poopt1 just casually being the best in "bait and punish" irl
My god that dsmash at 12:25 is so so so good
It would be perfect with some more guides like this, I think that everyone likes this so keep doing these kind of videos!
I tried doing he spaghetti technique and now my friend calls me a weirdo
I absolutely love the comedic side of this, good work Jordan! Would love this becoming a series as you said
look, a guide i'm gonna see but that i will forget to do everytime i play this game
Always good to see an Aussie give me a laid back approach to something normally complicated
I really appreciate your informational/guide style content, out of everyone anyone else's on youtube, I find yours the easiest to understand/remember
I really like this. I am really wanting to get my k rool into elite smash and this will help! Thanks a million Poppt!
I’ve always known this concept but the way you explained was put so perfectly that I understand it even better now
The real life examples really helped
I'm really happy to see a return to more educational smash vids. I love the way you can break down difficult concepts and show how top players implement them.

please continue this series, I love seeing your analysis, it's rare to find a channel that does stuff like this
Im kind of glad you are bringing this series back. The last ones helped me alot.
I would 100% watch more of this!! One of my favorites that you've made - this is exactly what I need
0:00 / 0:01 - Intro
0:46 - STANDARD bait and punish
2:06 - REVERSE bait and punish
5:54 - JUMP bait and punish
8:30 - Examples
Yes definitely. It always improves my mental aspect of the game
Definitely would love to see more videos like this
Incredible spacing on the bait High-Five
You should do one for edge guarding and ledge trapping! Great video idea though, hope the series continues.
Always love this type of content from you! Your content has definitely made me a better player!
