      Yes me too! I need all of those tools lol. Seriously, one of the best brands around for all your garden needs! As soon as I can get finances in order, these tools are going to be a must to add to my collection! Amazing!

      Stacey Here we grow again, I know that amazon has them discounted right now... the hubby wanted the garden fork and it’s 50% off. Have you tried the small snips? Love them for my houseplants!

      @@The.Simple.GardenerTHX! That's an awesome deal and I'll have to check it out! I had a pair of the hand garden clippers but I left them at someone's house when I was helping them out with a whole garden transformation. Lol. I'm so guilty of that and that's why I'm investing in a pull wagon cart to keep everything in like her green one too! 😊 This brand lasts forever and is worth every penny you are so right!

    • @The.Simple.Gardener

      Stacey Here we grow again definitely get a gorilla cart! I love them. I use it to haul groceries, yard work, cleaning the coop, and I could go on! I bought it from amazon too!

      I found this brand on the end of season sale, and I Love Them! I have the Pruning Shears. They are so comfy to use, and I was able to cut the bigger branches so easily. I think I'm going to try out more of their tools.

    I know you guys have said that coming up with your own tool line is not something you plan to do yet. But I think a collaboration with Fiskars or another company is something you should consider. You have a wealth of knowledge and it may benefit other gardeners as well.

    I actually use post hole diggers a ton in my garden. I like that I can lightly drop them down and scoop up the soil, leaving the perfect sized hole to plant my annuals and perennials. So much more comfortable to stand and dig, rather than being on my hands and knees for hours, especially in areas that are full of plants that you’re trying not to smash. 🌸

    • @kyrad6543
      @kyrad6543 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I was thinking the same thing. The post hole digger might be really useful for digging a small hole in a tight spot. Thanks for the info!

    • @StaceyHerewegrowagain
      @StaceyHerewegrowagain 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't use much of the post hole digger, just small hand tools, shovels, hard rakes, tillers, I would love a cart to pull my stuff around in the Garden, a kneel pad and hand saws too, I can go on and on With their selection for Sure! It lasts so long too which is so important for me. We don't get snow here, but all the other equipment would be amazing to have🤔 What to choose is going to be the hard part everything looks exciting to have and so useful!. Every thing seems to come up and I dont have much family so it's all up to my fiance with income which is tough now days. Im sure a lot can relate. I hope I can get enough to set up a great garden to give away food to homeless shelters and help people in need of a meal.. Happy planting! I love meeting with people in the gardening community!

    The best Tool I own is the Fiskars power stroke pole pruner. It is lightweight for me, I am 70, and is about 6 ft so easy to carry about my wooded property. It reaches into knarly shrubs and overhanging branch’s making it so versatile. Mine is over 8 years old and still going strong, so hope they still make it.

  • @cheriehicks1814
    @cheriehicks1814 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I only use post hole diggers to dig my holes for planting trees. I'm 5'4 120 lbs so they give me added power. They cut through large roots and they are so much easier to use in my yard than shovel of any kind. If you don't use yours, pass them on!! The are amazing for planting!

    Hi Aaron & Laura 🌻,
    I once told you I have just a few good tools .
    Fiskars are just those 🌟
    It started with my children's scissors that could make creative cuts and were sized for different ages . They lasted throughout their lives , art classes I volunteered them for until just recently I donated all to a children's group of multiple ages . It made me so happy . I had a total of 25 . Just enough 🌈.
    I have just a few " BIG GIRL TOOLS " of FISKARS now but, as I told you my budget as a Nanna is different now . My Cottage Garden is a dream in the making , if not for me then for whomever comes into my
    Garden space . For my hydrangeas " leftovers from a box store , they all have blooms . I am praying for some wood for the beautiful white fence for the backdrop with a ledge . This will give me something to hold on to as I walk through along and add those " other compliments that will fall through the fence . I just can't wait to see ...
    GOD HAS PLACED HIS HAND UPON
    THIS GARDEN & ME 🕯.
    He brought me to
    Garden Answers & now , hopefully you'll see
    Fiskars Tools as an Asset to your Garden🌈
    I need some help ; I can't seem to close the Fiskars PRO Secure Lock System Folding Utility Knife I just Purchased . I have cardboard boxes to cut down . I've found a sharp blade is so much safer then a dull one . I need to know why this won't close when it opens with just a flick of the wrist . Any ideas Aaron ?
    Thank You ❗

    I recently passed up the PowerGear2™ Hedge Shears for a larger shear without gearing, because I want a tool I can use more aggressively on dense blackberries. The gearing on that tool makes it take so much longer to cover the same area, and requires such a large range of motion to operate. It doesn't have the hook shape that allows you to bring force to bear on thick branches, so I really couldn't get value out of the gearing. I think my dad might be better off with something like that though, he was getting pretty worn out with the straight shears, and I can see the appeal of taking it slower if you are pruning something you've planted intentionally instead of clearing out bushes entirely.
    The power gear lopper is amazing though. I used that to cut through 3.5 inch tree trunks. It really swings above its weight, and lets me reserve the saw for fewer things. My other loppers were getting a bend in the handle from how hard I was trying to cut through things with them.

      The best brand for all your garden needs! I always loose tools like she admitted lol. I need to invest in more whenever finances get a little better. I've ordered some of these about 20 times in 3 years and never actually purchased it because something always comes up. These are a must! I love watching them. Especially these unboxing videos, makes me feel like I'm just as excited getting them.. lol

    What a nice selection. You will have to share your tool wall and how you organize and store your tools. And yes Laura, you have said you have thrown tools away accidentally. 😉

    Thank you, Laura! I absolutely love all of your gardening videos. You’re super creative and I appreciate the wealth of information you share with us. All of my garden tools are from Fiskars, but I’m not sure if they’re going to survive my huge move this winter. We just bought a new house in the country 3 miles away. I want to uproot , transplant and heel my perennials but am not sure if I will have enough time to heel them because we cant move until December 28. wondering if I can keep them in plastic bags from Dec-March vs containers. If you or anyone else has any recommendations please let me know. I have many perennials and small shrubs, black eyed Susan’s, day lilies, Catmint, Bee balm, hydrangeas, Daisy’s, orchards, grass, lavenders, asters, and so much more. Thank you again!

    So this would be a dream come true for me! To open boxes full of tools I need & from a brand I rely on a lot! Good quality, but way more affordable pricing. It would feel like Xmas to me!

    I seem to break large shovels on the regular, especially wood handled ones. A sturdy all steel shovel is on my shopping list.
