- Today we are looking at an exciting heritage gmt from Seiko, the SPB411,
A complete good looking watch, which can be considered a perfect 1 watch collection. that good and adaptive it is. Hope you enjoy it, Andrei.

At some point I will have to stop watching your videos. They are sooooo good now that every video I watch, I need to go and get the watch afterwards. There is no end to this hobby. (Addiction maybe is a better word). You have evolved so much in your video making and video telling. Absolutely phenomenal. Has become one of my favorite channels. A channel of a guy who enjoy watch making , cheap or expensive and tells their stories and what I most like of all “ without being pretentious and snobby” like a lot of channels out there unfortunately where the fame has gone to their heads. Thank you for this and keep them coming. Looking forward to the next one already. Olí
Oli, Super kind words, Thank you very much! ❤️ Whenever I am down, I will read your message and I am pretty sure it will cheer me up and give me fuel to continue, youtube with watches is tough! :)
You are right, Videos are becoming better, I am putting a lot of passion on this and I am enjoying it! All the best, Andrei
@@BraveBeaterskeep going! The destination is the right one! ;)
I mean, buying all those watches is good work if you can get it
Lots of nonsense comments here cause theyve not experienced the watch in person. This piece has one of the best bracelet in the spb line, moreover it is subjective but this piece is gorgeous in person and feels like it came from the period where it originally started
I agree :D
This watch is an absolute gem
Exceptional photographic coverage but personally unmoved by the piece.
Thank you! ❤️
This is the best watch channel.
Thank you very much!!
I was able to purchase this for $800 from eBay in stock condition, and I could not be happier!
Jesus Christ... I had this watch for almost 2 months, but really now, i prefer watching it in your video to actually wearing it myself. AMAZING production quality, you really got it on camera in all the right angles and lightning...
❤️ Thank you, C!
I believe his name is Andrei, not JC.
@@militaryminedid2011they just don’t know what they don’t know…..SMH…..
This would have looked astonishingly good without the GMT hand. Not bad Seiko! I was excited until I heard another limited edition so you know its going to be overly expensive. Thanks for sharing Andrei! Hope you have a good week!
Don't blink twice, There is a 3 hands version to be reissued as well :)
You deliver a compelling argument. It’s a lovely watch. Particularly the styling
i saw this online, read about it.. good specs, though a bit pricey but a very handsome watch. i am super tempted to get it sometimes this week…..😅
High quality photography, interesting, entertaining and a smartly dressed host, your videos are unlike other channels and all the better for it 👍. I love the T Rex analogy for the GMT hand, if they wanted that size, they should have written the 24 hours on the dial and fitted a dive bezel.
Thank you very much!! :)
As I have the original Navigator, I had to buy this reissue, well infact I bought 2 and will wear one and keep one NOS. , great review!
A beautiful video and a beautiful watch. More than a hint of 6105-8000 which is no bad thing. I wish they'd gone for the ever-so cool 150m water resistance. Those old odd numbers never grow old. Unsure why they went for the GMT, other than having some spare movements lying around. I wonder if the bezel/dial/rehaut consistently align?
Love the dial, had fallen out with Seiko's pricing but this is nice. I find 19mm lugs will normally take a 20mm NATO and it'll look fine.
Salut Andrei. Felicitări pentru canal. Partea cu filmarea in 4k e preferata mea. :)
Can't decide between this or the SBP383 to go with my SLA037! Great video!
I went for the SPB315 as I believe it's a better watch. 20mm lug with no silly GMT that's way too dominant in colour. It's also thinner and has the contrast of toolish looks with a brushed case with subtle gold accents that make the indices pop with legibility in a more classy way. That would be my one watch if I could control myself
The spb315 is a solid buy, ofc, an accurate reissue as well! :)
Congrats!
I like this seiko, but at similar price the citizen serie8 gmt is a real competer i think...
I think miiyota 9000 serious movements & citizen bracelets are better, though Seiko has an enormous variety of designs.
I have to try that one. Maybe a side by side would be interesting.
@@BraveBeaters will be great, both are very nice and good watch,i am just a little boring with crown of seiko who are not in the center...all the watch are iqual,so its dificult to see diference between a cheap model and an expensive.just my opinion
She's a beauty alright. Great review, my friend.
Thank you! ❤️
Great video quality, nice release by Seiko, might have missed it, did you mention if its a caller or flyer (jump hour) GMT
Make no mistake, it’s a great overall design, great size, very nicely finished, beautifully presented in the video 👍.
But…the SRP isn’t justified, especially since bracelet integration with the case is not good enough, the GMT hand just looks wrong, the date window looks like a very after after-thought, 4k is not limited, and the movement is far from mid-range suggested by the price tag. Shame, because with a bit more work it would have been spot on.
Thank you! :)
Big lover of SEIKO, great video brother. Would love to see some vintage Seiko’s like the 6105’s & 6309’s
Another great video brother ❤
Thank you, M! ❤️
Nice review and decent watch. However, the GMT Grand Seiko with high accuracy quartz is the ultimate "one watch collection". 😎
haha! that's a solid one, for sure!
I’m surprised it doesn’t have a Hardlex crystal
haha! not in 2024
I have to watch this again, because I was more interested in your jacket, than the watch. 🤣
Funny :)
I love seiko’s sunray grey dials.
I think I’m buying one 🙂
I like a lot about this one, my only reservations being that the hand set is boring to me, and I have no use for the GMT complication. And the price, of course. I wish Seiko would use syringe-type hands on more models, and do something, anything, to liven up the second hand.
Agree. in this case, still, we have to consider the accuracy of the reissue rather than an interpretation :) Cheers!
@@BraveBeaters very good point
Wow, this has a solid back! I hope that Seiko will make more "utilitarian" mechanical non-Prospex watches with solid back.
EDIT: So this is actually in the Prospex lineup.
Nice video. Just bought a casio arnie
Casio Arnie is super cool! Congrats!
Stunning watch and I would consider it but I think it's a bit overpriced at the moment. I'll be patient and maybe pick it up in the future.
Yup, Exactly what I did :)
dude I love your videos.
Thank you! :)
The big differences between 6R54 vs NH34 Seiko movements.. Is this video 😅 selling SPB411, really nice shoots! . But, maybe a San Martín With NH34 is a worth option.
In caliber corner:
While the 6R54A and the NH34A movements share a lot of similarities, they are also different in some ways. They are both the same size, with the same general functionality, including hacking, manual winding, and an independently set GMT hand; and they both have 24 jewels and a beat rate of 21,600bph.
Differences: The power reserve of the 6R54 has been nearly doubled from an average of 41 hours on the NH34, to 72 hours on the Seiko only version. Also, the finishing on the 6R54 is higher quality compared to the NH series. While the press image shown above features a gold tone rotor, it doesn’t mean all 6R54 watches will have that setup - but still, you can expect the rotor to be finished with Geneva stripes compared to the plain Jane NH34 rotor. Another difference is that the 6R has a SPRON 510 mainspring - the same mainspring that is found in Grand Seiko calibers.
the starting cost of getting this movement overhauled by Seiko is $260
A handsome one for sure!
Great video content.
Cheers! :)
Non prospex? Now you got my attention!!
It's prospex but x-less :D
Strongly agreed !!!
Bracelet is typical Seiko crap but that looks really nice on the brown leather.
I agree! It works on brown as well ❤️
Compare this to the new Nodus Trailtrekker for a quarter of the price and it’s a bit of a no contest
Thats a nice watch...😊
Seiko finally fixing alignment issues by using a friction bezel.
AHAHAH! True!
Uuuu!!!! Right up my alley!
Did you get it?!?!
@@steelsteez6118 was aiming for the original but definitely interested in this reissue
i like you and your videos :)
Haha! Thank you! ❤️
+1! 😂
For me, a collection must have at least three watches. A "collection" is defined as "a group of things". A single watch is definitely not a group, two is debatable, for me it's a pair. If you have three or more, you can call it a collection.
This was more reffered as a single watch to wear :) but yes, you are right.
clean af
Yes :D
Speaking of Trex… if u ever had a bad day, imagine a Trex making his bed
Lovely piece … but 5-700€ too expensive imo
For being a watch for everything needs to be 200m WR for me. The watch is beautiful, and your production makes it even better looking, anyway 1400 for this one seems to be too much
200m for the bath tub
Can be, in EU this is actually 1700 euros :(
Seiko make good looking watches for the most part whether new or vintage inspired. They have been lax not to put some money into developing an affordable traveller GMT movement like Citizen and Swatch Group however. I'm team traveller so as good as it looks this one's not for me.
True. They have the 5 gmt movement but not cheap :)
They do have an affordable traveler GMT in the sharp edge collection
It’s very nice. But WAAY too expensive.
I really like the watch but not the price.
Haha! Agree :)
Exactly. I was like, ok, l'm going to get one. Then saw it was $1500 and I'm like nah.
Not bad, though I prefer the Seiko 5 Field Watch look.
That one is a beauty as well!
The watch looks great- but the price? No way. A new alpinist has the same 6R54 movement (which isn't incredible) and is half the price of this. Seiko UK official website has this at £1500. That's a joke.
They look like one particular Longines model I like, why the fuck should I buy Seiko over Longines if they cost the same?
What longines model please
Nice watch but way to expensive.
I beat it every day, but I don't know if anyone would call that brave.
the funny thing is u can get the original for way cheaper
Carino ma troppo costoso
Yes, it is :)
Nope.... A one watch collection has to be minimum 20 bar.... But 30 bar is perfect.....
@@Walter-1982- For swimming, washing your hands, and getting caught in the rain, which is how most people wear their watches, 100m is WAY more than enough. I guarantee you will never even remotely test the depth rating of a 100m watch.
@@typebflieger I think so but a one watch collection has to do everything potentially.... My one watch collection for example is the Breitling a17345...... Wr 5000ft, 41mm, sporty but of class, with a bezel that easily you can use as a chrono function, date.... You can do everything with the 17345....
@@typebflieger another good owc it could be the new casio g steel 41mm but in my opinion not this seiko
Better with 200m of water resistance.
Yeah, watch is nice but I don't like GMT so for me that third red hand is useless 😐
I like it but I would like it more at £500
Big pass. Seiko needs to build better. Oh, & get it together with their QC.
For this price, the Citizen Series 8 GMT is better in my opinion.
That's a solid alternative for sure.
it looks awesome, but the price is kinda crazy. It's at least a few hundred overpriced (if it were just under $1k, I'd buy it immediately)
Agree. On preowned, will probably reach that range.
@@BraveBeaters that's what I'm hoping!!
The GMT makes it special. However, at first and second glance, it looks like a cross between a Timex and a Vladivostok. Just saying.
haha! True! :)
Its a nice watch i agee.
But Seiko seriously need to up the quality and specs if they want to charge the money they are asking.
Some of the micro brands will copy this and mkst likely make it better for much less .
Shame that the micro brands can produce better quality where seiko fail.
NOT for me normal minial looking i have seiko 21 jeweles sxx07 i just bought it last month
1700 euros? At that price point i'd rather get the doxa sub 300t
haha, correct! :)
A clasp, that screams 2018, the equaly odd and useless 19mm lugs and a GMT hand, that aspires to have a proper size, once it has grown up. For the prices Seiko charges these days. Yeah....pass!!
The clasp is nice, I love it! :)
@@BraveBeatersOne more micro adjust and I’d agree. It’s lovely when sized right though.
Brutal 😂
Also: A GADA watch should have a screw-down crown. And a friction bezel on a 1700 Euro GMT, well... It's an aesthetically and historically interesting piece though. Just not for a 4-digit sticker price.
@mchockney3664 I liked it, until I saw it was 2,500 AUD
Very bad movement forb this price point
10 bar wr is diappointing
Most of the iconic watches have 10 bar :) enough for everything
Certina DS-2 for the win
F@#$ Seiko’s. Lousy QC and awful specs, with increasing prices!
Crown looks too small
Is 1 watch a collection ? 😏
If it can work? Yes, for sure!
LOOSE The Tunes
Nah. It sets the mood.
Yup. Mood is king! :)
Turns are good - but a little quieter …
Mate
your background is
NOT INSPIRING...
IT LIKE YOUR IN A CAVE!
I am on a cave. Yes
Way too expensive
±25 seconds accuracy per day.... I'm out
Is it? Mine is pretty accurate
Crappy inaccurate movement, no thanks..
It bad at all
Overpriced and should have a better movement
One watch is not a collection and this is far from even being a perfect watch.
“One watch collection” is just a colloquialism used to succinctly describe owning a single watch used for a variety of situations and purposes. It shouldn’t be taken literally.
Thank you! Well described :)
@@seanduncan1284 most just call it a gada watch
@@waynesellers4078 but a GADA watch can be a part of a large collection. Owning a GADA watch is not the same as a “one watch collection”, which implies you own one watch and only one watch.
I think it’s worth differentiating because a one watch collection is a specific goal. I really enjoy videos from guys who’ve consciously whittled their collection down to ONE piece, and hearing their reasoning for doing so. I like GADA watches too but it’s a different thing to see a video about one as part of a wider collection.
One watch collection? Nonsense!
Unfortunatly to small
