Evinrude Etec full degrease and pressure wash

In this video I fully degrease my Evinrude Etec. The whole engine was covered in a greasy substance, I cant work on it without getting really dirty. I did ask on social media can you pressure wash your outboard engine, most said no. There was some very mixed opinions. so my engine is the guinea pig. Lets see how this goes.

Buy a gallon of paraffin, it’s a brilliant degreaser and doesn’t corrode plastic and rubber seals. I’ve been using it on my bikes for decades, cleaning chains, spindles, bearings and linkages. It’s great and cheap too if you filter and reuse it.😉👍

Hi Dave, that fuse is a spare fuse that the engine carries in case it goes at sea I really enjoy your videos thank you so much just wondering did you see my comment about which Greece? You should use on your Evinrude?

I mean the one in the plug with wiring. I have found out if it's blown the engine won't crank.
No I don't think I did tris sorry. I don't normally miss comments

So the fuse that has blown is a 20 amp fuse

Was a 10amp

before you try and start the engine take the plugs out spin it over just to make sure there is no water in the Cylinders
