Great to see you back with a video, nice job on the template its perfect and when you get that glassed in you will start flying through it. it will really feel like you are making progress with it
An interesting video mate.😲😃 Nice to see you getting on.👍👍 Some useful tips for others thinking of rebuilding a boat.🧑🎓 Waffle all you want. You get more in your videos if you stop saying sorry.🫣😂 Nowt to be sorry for.🥺 I look forward to seeing you out on it, catching PBs.🚤🛥️ Wishing you all the best mate.🤞🙏 Take care and stay safe.😷🙊 PS. Sorry. My comments would be shorter if I didn't waffle on. Sorry.🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks fisherman. I'm trying to make them to be step by step videos but it's hard not to make them draggy and boring doing that so I'm keeping all the important points in and the generic stuff out. I will hopefully have videos flowing again by next Friday 6pm.
Hi, doing the same restoring a pilot 520. Currently got floor and transom cut out and just wondered what plywood you used for transom. I've been told it needs to be lloyds approved 18mm marine plywood BS1088 and have just priced the plywood at over £180 per sheet. Is this what you have used.
@C3BFA Thanks for the quick reply. Think I'll use the same can't justify paying paying for lloyds approved when all will be glassed. P.s looking forward to the video on your boat restoration
@steveedgar7192 there's no need for thses boats steve it's not a multi million boat. As long as its built right and safe and it will. Last 20+yrs it will be fine it's marine ply so will last anyway and it's glassed so way better it will be fine. No. Worries on the reply that's what I'm here for Steve if you get stuck drop a comment and I will do my best to help
Good to see you back, it's going to be quality when it's all done but wow! what a sentence.
Thanks patch. I can't wait till it's done

Looks spot on Dave,is the stringers next?,and will you be able to use the bottom profile from transom for them,or do they decrease toward the front?
Thank you sloth. Yes pretty much the stringers are next after this. They decrease to nothing up the front sloth.
Nice vid, i am hoping to do the same to my pilot 590 but struggling to find videos to help and yours seem to be easy to follow for me. Thanks.

No I used marine ply wood. It's all the same unless you go for somthing like the redwood marine ply.
I payed £50-80 per sheet
