Can wedding jewelry (brought here during previous visit from India) be called personal item and not declared at Chennai customs? Why do we have to pay 13% tax for old jewelry bought in India with taxes paid? Can we show receipts and photos and call them “personal items” and not declare in customs?
If you can prove that’s it’s previously owned I think they’ll let you go. But it’s case by case so pls check online and then take a call
