I make a serving of ice cream every day, my ice cream recipe base:
    - 2 ounces heavy organic cream (36%)
    - 2 organic free range eggs yolks
    - 1 Tbsp MCT oil (will get Dr Berg’s when I run out)
    - 1 g pure stevia powder (comes w tiny scooper)
    Then add flavour of choice.
    Examples:
    - 1/4 cup strawberries (+ 1tsp lemon flavoured omega 3 oil - yum) or
    - 2Tbsp raw cacao + 5 sprigs fresh rosemary or 1/8th peel of organic orange (vItamin c!)
    - 1/2 tsp organic instant coffee + 1tsp maca etc
Lots of options, no sugars. I use a nutriibullet (blends better than other small blenders) then pour into a serving dish & put in freezer.🤤

Hasn't he just successfully launched a ice cream, after a long time trying - and done vids on it? I don't recall what flavor or flavors at the moment, but chocolate seems to ring a bell. He just left tgat out of this vid because it was not his intention here to promote his own brand - it's called a combo of his and his wife's names but I don't recall the name at the moment (I just woke up). I belueve it's in stores. I do not know if it's available off his website (shipping things that must be kept frozen en route is its own kind of animal). I know it is delicious so I am TOTALLY AVOIDING BUYING IT but also it is soooooooooo easy to make keto ice creams yourself in a few flavors at least. Keto Connect has delish recioes for a few flavors. I believe it is they who have a Butter Pecan flavor that is rediculously easy and delicious which knocks my socks off.
Wonder if Doc and Karen thought of Ice Berg and nixed it because of copyright issues in the name (conflict with iceberg lettuce maybe?).

After watching several potassium and IR vids, I'd love to hear your input on the 'how long to recover' aspect for replenishing potassium stores, iron deficiency, etc. I did catch a vid where you estimate 3-8 months for IR turn-around. No doubt I've got that issue. I'm on week two of your healthy keto plan, and have lost 12 lbs. No keto flu! Your concise vids have taken me from "I hope I can stick to it this time" to "No way will I ever do that to myself again!!" (sugar/carb overload) THANK YOU!!!

i will admit to not watching the above video just yet, but let me say that i see nothing wrong with eating Rebel Ice Cream, since a pint of out generally has no more than about 5 net carbs in it....which makes it perfect for overweight ice cream lovers like me....okay, i just watched the video now, but it did not make me change my mind. now, i should mention that i dont really pay attention to things like organic or GMO. i figure that focusing on limiting my carbs keeps me busy enough without worrying about so many other factors found in food. also, each pint of the Rebel Ice Cream has 1.5 grams of hydrogenated fat, which is said to be far worse than even sugar, and so i try to never eat more than two pints of the stuff on any given day. plus i typically buy the stuff only once every two weeks or so....now i will admit that when i eat it, it does eventually give me gas, which is not pleasant at all....but to be honest, i find that i can't resist it....hard to pass it up in the market without buying a couple of pints.....which actually tells me that it may be a danger sign, because anything that addictive is probably not healthy to eat....after all, as much as i love the taste of meat, i dont feel irresistibly, uncontrollably drawn to it. i just eat as much as i need of it, and that's it. btw, same with sour cream. sour cream is a perfectly healthy thing to eat, but i find myself too drawn to it. when i started keto, i would eat three pints of the stuff per day, and before i knew it, i had gained 40 pounds in just a single month! it was terrible. well anyway since this is so long probably nobody is even reading this so there is no point on my going any further with this

Fill the Solo cup half full of berries.
Fill the cup the rest of the way with Heavy Whipping Cream.
    Mix and eat!
This makes the best ice cream I have ever eaten in my life! The frozen berries like to clump together, so the mixing process is done, in part, as you are eating. The refreezing and clumping can continue. But, it is so amazingly awesome!

Rebel uses high quality milk protein isolate/concentrate with virtually no lactose (1%) from Idaho cows. We do not import our MPC from China or other countries. We do not add any tapioca, sugar, wheat, etc. We only use non-GMO ingredients, including the erythritol. While we would like to have organic cream and eggs, it would make the product too expensive for the marketplace, so it's not economically feasible. Cream is already the most expensive ingredient, so we had to compromise. It's still cleaner than homemade keto ice cream, because almost all store-bought cream has carrageenan, mono/di-glycerides, polysorbate, etc. The biggest difference here is that the founders of Rebel are keto and have been for YEARS. That is why we are so strict and refuse to put in any milk. These other brands had low calorie, high-protein lines and are just chasing the trends, the $s.

I eat Rebel and Enlightened a few times a month. It doesn't bother my stomach and I eat it so rarely, I just don't worry enough about it, but thanks for making this video, it's informative. I also am not on the train with eating a lot of the extra fats; I just don't see how eating so much fat can help. Healthy fats, like avocado and olive oil I can understand, but not trimming fat from meat and such, adding extra fats to things... that doesn't seem healthy and I wasn't doing it before keto, so I can't change it now.
Hopefully, more keto products will start doing more research into what is really keto and changing, because it IS nice to be able to just pick something up from the store, sometimes, instead of having to make literally everything.

Then plan on a nice longer intermittent fast of twenty-four to thirty-six hours. Autophagy will be kicked in to deal with any AGE's accumulated and other irritants. Yes you'll be out of keto for a bit but if you've been doing it long enough you'll get back in in no time.
It's summer, people. A little ice cream is mandatory!

Seriously! At Costco the other day I couldn't find a "Keto" labeled product with less than 11-15 grams of net carbs per serving. Plus they were selling "keto" granola with rolled oats, I wish! It was so disappointing. I'm getting a bit tired of the daily meal prep, I wanted a few convenience items.
I guess it's similar to the low fat craze in the 80's and 90's where they just replaced fat with more sugar (Snack Wells comes to mind as a terrible "diet" food). They may be lower carb like quinoa or whole grains compared to the refined carbs like white flour and white rice, but still to high in carbs to actually work with my lifestyle.

a can of full fat cc milk,
a can measure of almond milk (though macadamia would be healthier), and
1.5-2 can measures of organic heavy cream,
10 eggs (8 if really large), about
      1Tbsp vanilla, about
1/4c powdered or liquid mixed sweetener (erythritol, monkfruit, stevia [glycerate my fave]).
My favorite use is about a cup with my green drink mix I made (that is hideous, but I have enough forever). It makes it pleasant enough and fills my 20oz glass. I suppose I could add some xathum gum for thickening and an ounce of vodka so it doesnt ice up and make ice cream w it.

I have been a fan of Dr. Berg for awhile now and I do enjoy his healthy lifestyles advice and recommendations however I do become a little skeptical about the whole organic thing. Just because in this video he mentioned not knowing about foods organic status so my thing is how do we know its organic? We weren't there when it was harvested or even seen the care and maintenance of the food so we have to take their word for it? I strongly believe I won't know that it's organic unless I planted, grown, and harvested it myself. So I believe we're pretty much taking a chance either way. Sorry. Don't get me wrong I am still going to continue my healthy weight loss "ketolike" journey because I've seen major results and I feel great even if I don't always eat organically. IJS.

It's as simple as this. If you have underlying health problems which is why you're using keto, then don't touch any keto processed product. Make it yourself or do without. Dairy products, even cream, cheese and butter are inflammatory in a lot of people. Only very few can get away with sugar, sugar alcohol, milk etc in low quantities.

The BEST way to insure an all natural product is to use only organic products certified by a reputable certification agency (do your homework to find one that is certifying products in your area) and make YOUR OWN ice cream.
At 50+ dollars per gallon cost for the store bought brands of "Keto friendly" , it wont' take you very long to recoup your investment on a good ice cream machine . Get one that does not require ice ie: models that have a compressor. Try to get one that has at least a 4 quart capacity if you are making ice cream for a family. For one person a 1.5 qt should be fine.
Keep in mind that "keto friendly" does not mean calorie friendly. The cream in ice cream is very caloric. 820 calories per cup for heavy cream and 470 calories per cup for light cream.
From my experience, the only way I have ever been able to get into ketosis, was to eat only green veggies, protein from meats and essential oils from flaxseed and avocado oils.
ANY kind of processed "keto friendly" anything, knocked me right out of ketosis.
ZERO SUGAR and carbs (from veggies only) below 50 grams is essential to get into ketosis. Once you are in you can up the veggie carbs to 80 , even 100 grams. That's a LOT of veggies. Even 50 grams is a LOT!
Also very important is to take a HIGH QUALITY vitamin supplement made from "whole foods".
Not the crap you buy from the supermarket. This high quality stuff can only be bought from a health food store. Do your homework. I don't want to suggest my recommendations because I don't want anyone to think I'm saying this to push a product. I have no affiliations with any products.

Put that in the freezer for three hours and there it is, keto ice cream.... with only three ingredients and you put them in there. You don't get more fresh than that.

Here's the deal for me...I believe in not allowing the perfect to be the enemy of the good and I do good keto and don't give a damn about doing perfect keto. I've lost 50 pounds in the past year, 35 of them on keto and those rid me of my abdominal fat. My blood work has shown that my severe fatty liver has greatly improved, my triglycerate/HDL ration is .74 and my HOMA-IR is 0.4. My ALS/ALT ratio from my liver panel is 1.2 and over 1 indicates there is no insulin resistance. So I'm satisfied with how I do keto and refuse to beat myself up by trying to do it perfectly and following a boatload of rules. I prefer to enjoy my success and enjoy how I eat, as keto imperfect as it may be.
