I have to say, I whole-heartedly agree with your assessment. In these times of so much dishonesty and corruption, this song is a slap in the face of honesty and raw emotion to the entire world, not unlike any of Freddie's previous works, but so much more darker and foreboding... it really displays the true psyche (no pun intended) of the dying man that wrote this masterpiece. This also explains a long-burning question of mine as to why he waited to tell the world of his illness before he did so. Most people assumed it was because he was sparing his family the agony of the media intrusions to their lives, but maybe this was the true reason, he felt he had to face it alone... is it any wonder that they waited until one day after a full moon to release this song. Dear Freddie, such a true legend in every definition of the word. It's no wonder so many generations of people have learned to love the man and his music... because, yes he WAS a 'musical prostitute,' and the world is better off for it! Thank you Queen, you are ALL Legends in my book!!

Yes he did Tammy and he OWNED it. Today it is virtually impossible to find a person let alone a celebrity who takes responsibility. for their actions, and people are getting worse. As I said in the video, some people are put on this beautiful Planet Earth to teach us lessons, whether good or bad. Freddie was indeed an Angel. He blamed absolutely 'no one' - and faced the final stairway to heaven, alone 😥🤦🏽♀️🙏🏽. Anyhow, thank you so much for being here - in a way, I've been fighting hard against the odds, and in some strange way, so many wonderful, beautiful, honest and genuine people have passed my path since doing this - and you are one of them. So you see, Freddie is bringing so much good even though he is not physically here, but spiritually, he is still working his 'magic'. I will be putting content out on my new channel which is coming hopefully soon! I bought myself a Hammer drill but it isn't strong enough to penetrate my tough concrete walls so I am going to buy an SDS Rotary Drill which I'm saving up for as it iis THE DOG hahaha! I'm small and I'm sure this drill will swallow me up - but I'm up for it. I've actually renovated the back of my home damp, decoration, pointing the lot...and feel so proud and all on my own. So much in a lifetime is faced alone. Am recalling facing something so devastating I couldn't tell anyone. I was so alone, I hid in my basement until I simply had to go buy groceries for the week. While totally isolated for a day and a half, I figured out a survival strategy. It seemed the boss/subordinate situation challenging my career had me where the end was apparent. But I employed what Freddie tells us "I was master of myself'. I took charge in a manner that God must have awakened me to for I did get control. Freddie took control of his life and we all benefit now. Death is not the only experience you and I will/do face alone. And, being all alone you can better recognise and understand your strengths, your heart and mind, AND change your strategy. Think about when one loses a love. Wow doesn't that find you facing life 'alone'. I've certainly experienced that 'aloneness'. Yes there's much more than pending death to feel alone. This is a great, inspiring Queen song. Thank you Freddie for your lyrics gleaned from experience for sure.

Great. I have the same reading of the poem. This song came to remind us of how untolerant society was towards gay people infected with AIDS back in the 80's. He really had to "Face it Alone" and guides everyone in HIS journey through this song. AIDS was a "Death row" in that time but the stigma could "kill you inside" even before you were death... They wouldn't say out loud "I'm gay", much less "I have AIDS"... Long live Freddie!
