When something so near and dear to life,
    Explodes inside,
    You feel your soul,
    Is set on fire.
When something so deep and so far and wide,
    Falls down beside,
    Your cries can be heard,
    So loud and clear.
    Your life is your own,
    You're in charge of yourself,
    Master of your home,
    In the end,
    In the end,
You have to face it all alone.
When something so dear to your life,
    Explodes inside,
    You feel your soul,
    Is burned alive (burned alive).
When something so deep and so far and wide,
    Falls down beside,
    Your cries can be heard,
    So loud and clear.
    Your life is your own,
    You're in charge of yourself,
    Master of your home,
    In the end,
    In the end,
You have to face it alone.
When the moon has lost its glow,
When the moon has lost its glow,
When the moon has, when the moon has lost its glow,
When the moon, when the moon has lost its glow,
You have to face it all alone.

This wasn’t a finished song to be released as it was a demo which they didn’t work on as they didn’t think it was good enough to go on the Miracle album number one in 21 countries no need to say any more x

Bingo. Mr Champagne just wants to try and get more hits on the video by being controversial. He shows a clear lack of understanding with regards to Queen. He seems to think they only produced over the top pomp. Missing they did every genre short of rap (and would have had Freddie lived longer).

the thing here is that brian may stated in an interview they probably couldn‘t finish the work on this track and release it back then because first it deals with freddie‘s struggles regarding aids because this was recorded the year after his diagnosis. second it’s been too painful for all the band members to deal with this song so they‘ve left it alone. with this in mind this song has a different quality to it in my opinion. to me this song reflects this situation very good. i love it.

Think of this song, not as a Bohemian Rhapsody beater, but more of a doodling of an idea for the Miracle album that didn't quite fit. It is more of an extremely personal song about Freddie's battle with HIV/AIDS. The tone of the Miracle album was positivity. In fact, I would argue that this song resonates now, as we have learned more about what Freddie was going through. And in that regard it is a special song. It was never going to be a chart topper, nor does every song a band releases, have to be. From the heart.

Massive Queen/Freddie fan here, from England... I like your honesty here. I agree it's great to hear Freddie again. But I also agree this is not Classic Queen. Your rating was fair!

There are a few other songs that are forgettable by Queen. La palabras de amor comes to mind as the first stupid song to throw away immediately. Some stuff from 'jazz' is completely forgettable. Someone said that this song sounds like a - shitty I would add - James Bond song and Brian May agreed in a video. Now it is absolutely incredible to me that they managed to come up with this song some years before that sound became widespread enough that it was captured by post Brosnan 007 movies.
I would almost say this song would have been a better choice for 'Spectre'. Man, I hate the song in that movie. Also, 'no time to die' is roughly at the same level as an unfinished scrapped Queen song.

Started out with giving Freddie a 5 and ended up with whining and comparing every other Queen song. LOL, another one trying to be nasty to make it. You have a right to your opinion but I chose not to listen to them.
