Phenomenal. Freddie Mercury is unbelievable. But I think the guitarists and drummer don’t get the credit they deserve

I whole-heartedly agree, both Brian May and Roger Taylor were (and still are) multi-talented musicians, great singers and skilled songwriters. John Deacon (who has his own loyal fans) is often forgotten, largely because he only ever sang as a backing singer, but he also played more than one instrument and wrote some of Queen's biggest hits, and provided some memorable bass riffs for songs credited to other band members.

Freddie was a candle that burned so bright upon the world stage with a voice none have since duplicated (though many have tried). I was fortunate to be in my teens when his band came into being and never thought I’d outlive him - but his music will outlive us all. Thanks for giving me your own candle to light my morning. May you continue to illuminate us all.

Sublime ❤️ - thank you 'so' much for this wonderful comment. Freddie/Queen are firmly on my list now and not going anywhere anytime soon. I have some good ones coming up as it is his anniversary of his passing next week. Have a wonderful weekend - and again, thank you so much. Psyche 🙋🏽‍♀️🌹✨x

The magical internet allows us to listen to and see these fantastic performances even after 40-50 years. This version of the song is my favorite.

Absolutely fabulous indeed! Queen has so many great songs, but this has always been my favorite. This band sounded as good live as they did on record IMO. Thank you Psyche. We know you love us, and we love you back. Have a wonderful weekend and we’ll talk again soon. ❣️💖😊✨

Not sure why everyone seems to use this version, I prefer the Milton Keynes ( pronounced keens) the following year, that concert is missed quite a bit

    • @psycheinc-theSLC
      @psycheinc-theSLC  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

They use it, I would imagine because Montreal is world renowned whereas very few have even heard of Milton Keynes so it means nothing to them. That's where the power of Google comes in should people want to see sonething that's not showing. Also I guess Montreal gets more 'viewership', again because most people in the world know 🇨🇦 Canada - views are extremely important to a channel's growth. I just stumbled on it and loved it instantly as I only watch the first 30 seconds for quality but dont watch the whole thing as I want to capture my 'genuine' reaction for the first time viewing it. I also never look at what other channels are playing as I'm running my channel my way without any influences from marketing or otherwise. Lastly copyright is tough so there are a lot of factors. To me the gift is the appreciation that its shown as many people are begging to be played. I've been alerted by one other about MK so when I have time which is rare, I will take a look. Anyhow more Queen to come as they have great own Playlist on my channel now. And I liked that you put the pronunciation of Keynes (Keens) cute. I'm a Brit and know because I used to stay with a famous couple there that taught me to sing Jazz. Have a great weekend Sandra 🌹

Don't forget the quality of the video...this was recorded in high definition for that particular era. I guess that's the very reason why this concert has been the favorite for many.

    Hello Psyche Dear,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for making my days brighter with each of your Queen/Freddie reactions... I literally can't get through a day without my dose of Freddie's positive energy and his zest for life.
    I have a REQUEST, Honey:
There is another AMAZING version of this beloved song from Milton Keynes Bowl in 1982, which is a Hidden Gem/doesn't get very much airplay compared to this better-known Montreal performance.
TRULY, it is SO. SO. SO. GOOD simply for Freddie's HAPPY joyous energy/his adlibs/flirting with the audience: "Are you READY, Brothers and Sisters!" ...and his vocals are in their PRIME/out of this world!
If you don't want to record another video reaction, I'd REALLY like to encourage you to just take a few minutes to watch it for yourself... Just because it's THAT GOOD, and I really don't want you to miss out on the JOY of seeing it, because it's a whole different experience.
This is an UPGRADED HD link that's improved quality over the official one:

Hello Marcella, thank you for your comment - bless you 🌹. It's our morning here so you are probably still fast asleep 😴- I've just watched it and it is good, but I actually prefer the Montreal only because Freddie moves around the stage for much more time, where as here he is more piano based only getting up for a quarter of the segment. That said it is a sterling performance - it is evident that this song means a lot to him, and if I'm to be honest, I often ask that question regarding myself as it's that song's title that I ask myself - though I've given up now. Thanks for sending it, much appreciated. p.s. I've been in touch with a marvellous journalist who write a lot about Freddie - I want him to come on my channel for a chat - still trying. Have a blessed day/weekend my lovely Marcella and more Queen to come ❤️🙋🏽‍♀️x

@@psycheinc-theSLC hahahaha See, my favorite Freddie performances ARE the piano based ones, so that makes sense!
Psyche, I've observed that certain people who are Uniquely Blessed with their talents etc... seem to be given an equal measure of difficulties/hurdles to work through OR that just require patience/acceptance, to be left up to God's timing...
I could never even IMAGINE "the one", that Somebody To Love/Love Of My Life person who'd be "meant for me". (And my life was full of "things" which had led me down a solitary path; I was convinced that I was meant to be alone anyway.) ....Until I met my husband at the age of thirty. And we just knew. And we just celebrated our 25th anniversary. But, he wasn't brought into my life until the EXACT moment when everything else was about to align, so that I would be open/available for "all of that".
(Our marriage HASN'T been boring/we've dragged each other through The Depths Of Hell many times over... but we agree that 1)We're meant to be together 2)We're both too STUBBORN to quit.)

This is another performance that I search out by title with reactors. I agree with you that every one of the band members was fully invested in this performance. For as many times as I've watched this, I am still amazed that Roger can beat on those drums and sing with that amazing voice of his at the same time. On a reaction video someone said, "Freddie wears a Superman tank top and Superman wears a Freddie Mercury tank top." I thought that was so cool. Thanks so much for your reaction, Psyche... I enjoyed it. Take care and be well. Peace.
