The UX in zbrush is just so unintuitive, why have this weird system instead of having something simple like all other DCCs?

Every single video about ZBrush has these type of comments underneath. Why, indeed, why? Were these guys on drugs while designing the UX? and if so, why has it basically stayed the same despite all the complaints about it (I hoped Maxon would do something about it but no, they basically charge a fortune for the exact same obtuse and weird user interface.) I really want to learn this program but it's so freaking frustrating having to do internet searches for basic functions like this.

I am actaully suprised on how stupid a design for applications can be... I mean WHAT? how is it so difficult and weird, to apply just color/material?
And the fact they dont do anything at all about it. As soon as a program with the same sculpting abilties as zbrush, i will immediatly switch, and that day will come.
