Hi Sebastian- I had the pleasure to meet you at the BDK event recently at ZGO and thanks to that chance encounter, now watch your incredible videos all the time for perfume advice. Your recommendations are spot on for me, and it is so inspirational to find someone who is so passionate about their work. Thanks for being you. Diana from SF
Stephanotis is often used in bridal bouquets. I remember my florist used them in my bouquet 27 years ago. Lady Diana had them cascading down her bouquet when married Prince Charles.
I'm so curious about these two. I love A chant for Nymph but glad my bottle didn't corrode like yours Sebastian, I would hate for that to happen. Great video.
Sebastian thanks for another great review. Haven't yet smelled Love at Your Darkest but your recent videoinspired me to research the notes. I actually like the look of the simplistic apocatharylike bottles, however functionality & quality cannot be sacrificed. A broken sprayer =usless purchase. Just today I wished simplify the Packaging & decrease the price by $100 regarding a great quality fragrance house that produces over the top boxes (which many people will trash) & beautiful bottles with hazardously heavy caps.
I think I have a stephanotis plant. They were selling them at Trader Joe's a while back. It's in incredibly resilient plant. Despite severe neglect it always manages to come back and bloom again.
So I was really interested in the Tears from the moon because I want a fragrance that boats lily of the Valley. That being said I have always (40 yrs) been a fan of YSL opium and currently wear only black Opium. I wanted to try a new lighter summer fragrance and thought Tears might be the one. Do you have any samples for sale?
I think Stephanotis is a type of jasmine. Here in France you can find at plant shops and florists, in small size, bended in an arch, ready to be gifted.
Wow, I don't think I had heard of stephanotis as a note since the eponymous fragrance from Floris, back in the day, which was very lovely ( sadly only available nowadays in a bath oil rather than a perfume.) So, I am quite intrigued to test this Gucci one out. Thanks for the info!
Sebastian, if you have chance to answer this please. My Stepdad used to wear YSL Jazz and Kouros back in the 90s... do you think La Nuit De L'Homme would be a good modern pick from YSL for a cool 70 year old? 🕶
I think so but it will be not in the same vein but if they want something modern La Nuit should be good. Maybe you get the Bleu Électrique flanker for a little more intensity! :)
Stephanotis (Sp) is the traditional wedding flower found in most brides bouquet because of it fragrance and thick small durable waxy flower that grows on a. One and will stand up to all the hugging a bride with have to withstand . One of the most well known bridal flower , won’t turn brown like the delicate but delicious smelling gardenia
Hi, I know this is off subject but I love watching your videos on discontinued fragrances. I'd like to know if you know where I can find Dolce pineapple from dolce and gabbana the fruits collection?
In the USA only at D&G boutiques. SF D&G boutique carries it but usually out of stock. It's not so easy to find sadly! I don't know why they did that with this fragrance?
Sebastian please! Can you review Miss Dior Absolutely Blooming EDP. It’s been recently discontinued. Is it just marketing hyped, or we’ll crafted concision. Thank you!
I own Tears From The Moon and it’s my holy grail, my signature perfume. I havent smelled anything like it~ probably coz of the stephanotis? Ive never heard, seen or smelled the stephanotis, before i discovered this perfume. This perfume makes me feel like im in a flower heaven~ and i feel the prettiest when i hv it on me. In my area, the waiting list for this perfume is 2 pages long. It always goes out of stock 🥲🥲🥲
Question for you sir Sebastian! What do you think is a better house for elegant scents (long lasting, high quality versatile, with 7+ hour longevity? Gucci, LV, Chanel, Dior? Like overall in your opinion hahah I’m trying to help my mom find her signature scent, its arduous task 😅 hah we smelled a ton of fragrances the other day, and she liked 3 scents from LV in the boutique, i know Dior she liked the precious MUSC oil and gris Dior and eden-roc. She uses la panthere from Cartier but wants something just as good for herself but preferably something that is harder to find in the states from these houses. Sorry to throw this on you, but she doesn’t know what exact notes she likes but she definitely wants something that wont be too heavy or cloyingly sweet, (she didn’t like tobacolor or vanilla diorama much) she knows she likes white musks as a good basenote, but you know how it is with people that aren’t so versed in this world yet. I’m going to pull the trigger on spirito by meo fusciuni myself ;) but any wisdom you have would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
It really depends on the fragrances like for Chanel Le Lion last a long time. For LV Ombre Nomade, Nouveau Monde last a long time. Maybe Les Sables Rose from LV or Coromandel from Chanel or maybe try Noir De Noir from Tom Ford?
With pepper in mind, how do you feel about Jazz Club by Maison Replica? The pepper is strong in the beginning but by a few hours it’s such a delightful scent
To me Jazz Club is all warm lightly boozy amber with a slight spice not too strong on the spice so for some reason I don't get the spices much in Jazz Club.
Agreed about A Midnight Stroll! I would like it better if it had something a little bit lighter to balance out the incense and cade oil. I love the strong cade in it, but the total combination smells too animalic and pungent to me.
Do you own any Clive Christian scents? I was wondering if you do would you do a top picks video? I bought blonde amber and adore it but found it didn’t last very long on my skin and for 500 dollars I think that’s crazy that I have to reapply before my work day is even over…
I never clicked with this collection. I do like eyes of the tiger and last days of summer. These two are not exciting to me. But great video nonetheless.
Too bad the bottles are of poor quality, they Look pretty. Well, I hope you're being careful and clean while in France as they have a new Covid wave going on now.

Hi awesome but sorry I do not remember you. I meet so many people so I forget unfortunately! :(
Stephanotis is often used in bridal bouquets. I remember my florist used them in my bouquet 27 years ago. Lady Diana had them cascading down her bouquet when married Prince Charles.
Yes Stephanotis is often substituted for lily of the valley in bridal bouquets because l o v is so hard to source.
I'm so curious about these two. I love A chant for Nymph but glad my bottle didn't corrode like yours Sebastian, I would hate for that to happen. Great video.
I love following Alberto Morillas! Such a cool dude and gentleman at the same time 🖤
Thanks for this review! The Gloaming in the night’s notes n accord grab me n the deep notes are perfect for the Fall/Winter🙏🏿😊
Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day

Hazardously heavy caps? Lol dramatic much?!
The names , the bottles, the branding, is impeccable
The Sabato de Sarno effect
thank you for making The Alchemist review - it's good to have some first hand opinion as it's too expensive for blind buy.
My favorite of the entire collection is A Gloaming Night
Hey, just got tears from the moon. What perfume would you recommend I pair with? I want more sweetness which I don’t get
hi can you describe tears from the moon?
I bought a sample of the Eyes of the Tiger. It was not for me. But my BF will love it. I’d love to try them all!

Makes sense.

@@ThePerfumeGuy fabulous, thank you Sebastian 🙏 I'll go sniff them both first 🙌
Love the review I wonder why Love At Your Darkest isn't in a dark bottle, it would seem more fitting for the name and the fragrance.
I agree it’s a bit confusing!!

Goes to show I need to learn about plants and flowers that are not so common! :)

I was so curiouia bout Tears From the Moon. Now I'm not sure. Does it smell like diorissimo?
Very distant not quite similar.

I'm not the biggest fan of CC sadly I just don't connect with the brand? :(
Its been sold and resold and has lost a lot along the way…shame cos originally they were good. now they re just overpriced
Love at your darkest.. Seems apt for the current situation.
WOW~ THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!😁
Sure thing.
Thanks Sebastian!! ☺️
thank you for the video!
Yes I know stephanotis but I have always heard it pronounced with a short o more like "not."
Those bottles are so absolutely gorgeous. Bummer about the sprayers 😕
Yes gorgeous bottles but bad sprayers sadly. Leave it to Coty who distributes Gucci.
I never clicked with this collection. I do like eyes of the tiger and last days of summer. These two are not exciting to me. But great video nonetheless.
Love at your darkest sounds really good 👍🏽👏🏾🎯💯👌🏾🆒️
Excellent
I would really like your opinion about Dolce & Gabbana - Velvet Collection
I can’t help but feel they’re judged a bit unfairly because they’re giving you the opportunity to create layers with these.
Too bad the bottles are of poor quality, they Look pretty. Well, I hope you're being careful and clean while in France as they have a new Covid wave going on now.
EEK.
Voice of the snake only from this collection that I tried
First!!!
