im about to fix a live liner II its a 8000. the live liner works but the adjustment doesnt change if u loosen or tighten. its just stuck on loose. any suggestions on what part i need to fix it?
Thanks for checking out the video. I get you're referring to the frozen knob on the bottom, but your question is a little too vague. You may not need any parts, but you can use the schematics and this video to help you figure it out.... th-cam.com/video/SOUG2sUVrRo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=_UnOa0pHjxpbi9b1 Otherwise, try your local repair shop. All the best with it.
so when u turn the bottom knob for the live liner tension it doesnt tighten or loosen the drag it spins and clicks like it should. almost like something is stripped. thank you!
That's 3..... I think it's been proven...... the Shimano Baitrunner 6500A or Thunnus ci4. My current preference? The Baitrunner 6500B with a much simpler line roller setup..... and using a plastic bushing. I currently modify mine to use bearings because the original metal bushings are difficult to find. I think time will favor the Penn VI Live Liner (though I don't like the new lever mechanism.... give me the old knob style to adjust on the fly any day) for durability, ease of use and serviceability. *If you use this in a report, give credit where you got it from.

Nice video! I'm curious as to why you did not clean that white stuff out of the drag knob.
Thanks for watching...... at what time in the video are you referring to?
