Very cool set! I wasn’t aware that the cape was made of cloth. I like that because the plastic capes feel a bit awkward to me. On the other hand, though, I get nervous that the cloth might get ripped or stretched out if not handled properly. It’s sort of a debatable trade-off as to which material is better. 🤷🏻♂️ It’s really cool that they gave us Hordak’s arm cannon, and the interchangeable weapons definitely make the Horde Trooper Prime feel a bit more special and “important” in the Trooper hierarchy. Trap Jaw’s rifle has a slightly larger peg, which is why it doesn’t fit on the “Roboto” arm all the way. What’s funny is that I’ve recently been opening the early Origins waves with my 4-year-old, and we still have Turtles of Grayskull Mouse Jaw in package (who also reuses Roboto’s weapons for the Metal-Boto build-a-figure), so every time my son looks at it, he says, “Look Daddy, those are Roboto’s!” And I’m like, “Yes, they are!” 😂 He’ll probably do the same thing if and when he sees them with this figure too! At least they’ve changed up the colors instead of literally reusing the same black Trap Jaw accessories for Terroar (which kind of felt lazy to me). The Hover Bot did look identical to the one from Classics, so it’s not surprising they just repainted it. I believe they did the same thing with Mini-Comic Tri-Klops’ glow-in-the-dark ring, if I’m not mistaken. It still works, so I have no issues with that. I can see this set being a bit difficult to track down. Was it supposed to be a Walmart exclusive? If so…ughhh!!! 🙄 ~Damon
@FandomEntanglement Hello again, Damon! Thanks for checking out this Horde Prime set review. Overall, it's a really fun looking set, considering it's all reused parts with different colors. The cape is only a newer accessory added. I like the idea of it being cloth over plastic for the reasons you also mentioned. I think the material is strong enough for the average setup. But can definitely rip in certain areas during play or constant movement. The double weapon arms are a great addition to this Horde trooper. I personally like the mix of Trap-jaw and Roboto accessories cast in that red translucent plasma look. It's also really cool that both arms are reversible and can fit on both sides of the trooper or other figures such as the regular Hordak like I showed. I also recently just opened my mouse jaw figure to remove the build of figures parts. I didn't review him. There are so many reviews out there. It's funny that your son took notice of the reused Trap-jaw and Roboto parts. I think our generation is just used to seeing repaints and the reuse of parts with the MOTU lines as it's always been a normal part of the vintage figures and Classics lines. Yes, this is a Walmart exclusive set now! I got mine on eBay from a seller who probably bought a few from Walmart. These are also up for Preorder at certain places online, I believe!

However this set and its parts can be used to a more diverse effect when it comes to Origins. I could really load out my Buzzsaw Hordak with those extra parts.
I like this best for the Origins. The oversized Horde trooper looks really cool. But it's limited as far as parts mixing to Origins. I would pick this set up first for that BuzzSaw Hordak. Thanks for checking out the review!

I have this figure on preorder as i am a huge Horde Trooper and Horde faction fan. Red is my favorite colour so this figure was a must for me, but i cant help thinking his eyes would look better being white for better contrast. I like the cape but the cloth looks a little cheap, the figure may have looked better with a plastic cape like scareglows or using higher quality fabric, it looks like it holds creases really easily.
@SecretOfMonkeyIsland784 Thanks for checking out the review, and I'm glad to hear you got your preorder in for this set! I think the red colors really stand out on both figures. The eyes probably would have been better white, as you mentioned. I think the cape works out well even though it's a light cloth material. Rubber would have really hindered the armor, I think. Overall, it's a great looking set!👍
@@Themanchlid Yeah i suspect your spot on with the rubber cape, it would have hindered the fit of the armour, i suspect that and not wanting to redesign / mold a cape was why they went with fabric.
@SecretOfMonkeyIsland784 Exactly! Rubber would definitely be an issue with the armor design. Or it would have to be pegged and glued on the back, similar to Hordaks armor.

They couldn’t even change the date on the bots lol. Got a question. The stand that comes with the bot, will it fit origins Orko?
Thanks for watching as always, bro! I love the way this set comes with both figures and the accessories. The Hover Bot in red is definitely one of the coolest looking pieces! I'm glad they reused the Classics Hover bot mold, which fits good for the Classics or Origins lines. I just tried the stand for the Origins Orko on the Hover Bot, and it fits perfectly 👌
@@Themanchlid nice!! That’s great to hear. Even though I do appreciate the stand that Orko comes with, it’s too big. This is perfect for Orko. I might have to grab two of these sets just for that stand lol. Thank you so much for checking.
Hello Manchild! You got this figure already? At the moment in some parts of europe (also mine) the origins fall behind (also for "new" cartoon collectors). Wave 18/19 - CC/Regular/FF we are expecting in September. This month should come Orko FF, Webstor CC, Evilyn CC and this figure...but i doubt that. What is not falling behind are the goddamn motu-turtles (TOG). I'm slowly a little bit sick of that/them.
Hello again! Yeah, I finally got this figure set yesterday. These are Walmart exclusives here in the USA and, of course, all over eBay. I don't even have any useful thoughts on the distribution of these figures. It's a mess here as well. Some figures are mass produced and sitting on shelves like Target and Walmarts in large numbers. Other figures like the cartoon line or fan favorites are very sporadic. Many people are getting certain figures online. The TOG exclusives are easy to find in stores when they arrive. But not the main carded figures.
@@Themanchlid You know that i don't like the CC Figures, but i have empathy with collectors especially the ones which startet 2024 to collect them. (Starter CC-Collectors) Thank you that you clarify that its appear to be a distribution problem (again - 2020/2021 Vibes). Not only TOG, they are everwhere.... (Discounters are full with them) FF: She-Rah is still EVERWHERE and Zodac we got from a small online shop. Is this a political thing? Just asking... maybe not, but i know that She-Rah do not sell good (asked some Collectors). Our Smyth missed the hole Wave 17...
@davidconnell1441 Yeah, they might be slightly different from the main troopers in order to adapt the weapons and reverse Joints. But the main arm with the punching fist looks very close in detail aside from the paint.
I can't keep track of this line anymore. Is this a Walmart exclusive? Ever since they released the Cartoon Collection & Turtles Of Grayskull I can't keep track of the Vintage collection. I still don't know WTF is going on with Terroar, Lord Grasp or Vypor. I also don't know what's going on with Turtles Of Grayskull Moss-Man or Mer-Man. I just watched a toy hunt video & the guy's Walmart had 1 Mer-Man hanging there with a ton of Krangs. This confusion has made me lose interest. If Mattel wants to make the line impossible to collect & enjoy then I will take my money elsewhere. I have already moved on & have been focusing on Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron. I don't have the patience for the shit Mattel has been pulling in 2024.
@sci-fi.tsunami Thanks for checking the review out and sharing your thoughts! Yeah, I think this is a Walmart exclusive. I picked it up on eBay. I hear your frustration with this line. The figures are all over the place. To many exclusive sometimes.
this horde trooper, don't you think he was taken from the 1979 movie THE BLACK HOLE from disney, the evil red robot, just look at some clips from that movie, i like that movie too, i love old movies they are made better, (with brains and plot),..the original 80s one looks white with red stripes,.........marius(punk rules).
@mariusbabii Hello again! I saw that movie a long time ago. I'm kind of fuzzy on it. But i do some what remember the evil robot design, and this Horde trooper definitely has a resemblance to it. I'm sure many of the designs for this Masters of the Universe line going back to the vintage figures and now The Origins had certain inspirations taken from other sources such as movies and such. I also like many of those older movies still. Thanks again for checking out another review! Your movie Beastman is in the mail, and I sent the tracking to you by email!👍

@@Themanchlid nice!! That’s great to hear. Even though I do appreciate the stand that Orko comes with, it’s too big. This is perfect for Orko. I might have to grab two of these sets just for that stand lol. Thank you so much for checking.
@TheWandifan Yeah, no problem! And good call on trying that stand for Orko. I also agree that the Orko stand is nice but takes up too much room.
Actually, it’s one from trap and three from RobTo because that claw is from Roboto
@@2Bamosotis Yeah that's true.
Cool set!
@eltenda Yeah, it's definitely a good army building set!👌

(Starter CC-Collectors)
Thank you that you clarify that its appear to be a distribution problem (again - 2020/2021 Vibes).
Not only TOG, they are everwhere.... (Discounters are full with them)
FF: She-Rah is still EVERWHERE and Zodac we got from a small online shop. Is this a political thing? Just asking... maybe not, but i know that She-Rah do not sell good (asked some Collectors). Our Smyth missed the hole Wave 17...
I'm closely comparing your video info to a couple of Troopers I have on hand. The upper arms are different sculpts.
