That giga is a damn near model from the film , Hammond line is truely the best out there for Dino’s

Nice video, bud! I am really enjoying both of these figures. They've really gotten better with the teeth, eyes and paint apps. My only gripe is that we desperately need stronger ratchet joints in the legs.

I’m looking forward to getting the Hammond collection Giganotosaurus figure but I didn’t see it in both Target stores in Houston. If anyone saw one from Cypress to Katy, I’m going to see how big it is.
I got two. Debating getting a 3rd…. Don’t know if I should worry about some paint scuffs on the belly or not.. Especially considering all the major QC issues going on… might be worth black washing the figure idk
15:40 It's not even how the dinosaurs arms anatomy looks like. The accurate dinosaurs anatomy is the wrists are turned towards each other like a clapping gesture. if they pronated their wrist that's mean their wrist would be broken.
Previous jurassic movie. Dinosaurs has a broken wrist. But the Battle At Big Rock and Dominion already fixed the wrist to turn towards each other. Even the Giga in the film also has the accurate anatomy dinosaurs wrist. Although it's not necessary accurate in terms of physical appearance (which i don't mind that).
It's quite annoy me a lot that people seem like to posed giga with broken wrists while in the movie the giga has a supinated wrists. Not a pronated

the hammond collection theriz is kindof a miss for me, mainly because of the claws moving instead of the fingers moving, and theres no waist articulation when they couldve easily done it, and no bendy wire neck and it has no white eyes like the movie
the giga is great though
How you don't even know that the white eye is called a cataract? And the animator of the movie confirmed that it was only blind in the right eye only, not on the both eye. Lol😂

I think the jaw on your hammond collection Gigantosaurus has a Another QC issue the bottom jaw isn't attached fully in you can see the gum line and stuff maby if you find another hammond collection Gigantosaurus that doesn't have those QC issues
I would say if your going to set these guys up on shelves, is to buy some stans for them, just so then they fall over.

Easily the best figures of the year. How marvel legends get so many top spots on lists and what Mattel has been doing just gets passed over is beyond me

On the one hand, the Giga has some of the best sculpting and paint detail of any HC figure so far. On the other hand, I really don't like the JWD Giga design.
For me i don't mind that. Because I will stick to the logic that it's the appearance of dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park Universe "Only". Not in real life.
@@lkungthe-nublarcollector3862 It's still not a good design to me, even when compared to other dinosaurs from previous movies. At least I can tell what dinosaurs those other designs are supposed to be. If I wasn't told this design was supposed to be Giganotosaurus I'd assume it was yet another hybrid, but instead of using Tyrannosaurus for the base they used a Carcharodontosaurid theropod.
@jacobcox4565 I'm quite agree. Although i don't mind about design of the Giga or other dinosaurs in JW. But by comparison, in the JP trilogy, 80% of the dinosaurs are fairly accurate to the time the films were made (Not all of them but still more than JW). But now, the information keeps changing from the time that JP trilogy was made. Makes the JW trilogy not as concerned with accuracy as in the time of JP trilogy. Because they think that information can change continuously. So they designed it to the point of exaggeration by don't care how accurate they were.

The first few Jurassic Park movies payed special attention to making the dinosaur designs accurate for their time (with some exceptions), but the Jurassic World movies have basically flanderized their dinosaur designs while trying to stay visually consistent with previous movies. Honestly, if the JW films had more scientifically updated designs and just handwaved the change as "progress in genetic cloning technology" most people wouldn't have cared and just accepted it.

Both of these are amazing figures.....but Mattel really missed an opportunity to make the Therizinosaurus next level by not having the neck rubber with segments and wire inside like the tail has. We would have all gladly paid and extra $5-10 to have the neck same material as the tail and it would have taken the articulation of this model to the next level. Such a terrible missed opportunity and it should have been so obvious to the designers during prototype testing. The Tails on the Giga and Theri are Mattels best to date and are outstanding in feel and articulation. The Theri tail proves theres no need for 2 piece tails.

Probably one of the coolest animal designs in the whole franchise was the Giganotosaurus and they gave him mostly shit screen time and nothing special…
Plus an undeserved death, it’s just an animal trying to survive yet they treat it like a bad guy.
Giga is beautiful but I feel it needed to be upscaled just slightly to be more film accurate. Just a nitpick and not to detract from how much of an amazing figure it is
How come they give the Rex a waist swivel and not Giga or Theri? What are they Speciesist?
As for Giga I understand. Because if they make a waist joint. it will distort the shape of the hump-shaped spines on its back.

This is actually the size the giga should be in my opinion, the one in dominion was ridiculously huge. This figure doesn't have all the wounds it has in the movie, so perhaps it is younger or depicting an average individual. Also think the Theri is supposed to be younger before he went crazy and also blind and reckless. Hmm is that some kind of allegory the hid in there?
Just because the movie pronounced Giganotosaurus wrong doesn't mean you have to as well lol.
