So much truth in your commentary. I was born on a pre-grid farm. Remember well when my Mother cooked on a castiron cookstove. One of my earliest chores was to bring in split wood to fill the wood box behind her stove. We didn't burn wood all night either. (BTW: Record low here is -9/F.) Growing up, we used the now outlawed tin heaters. They were allowed to go out overnight. FIRST chore, every winter morning was to build a fire in the heater! We didn't think much about it one way or another. It was just a part of our normal, everyday living. Harvesting wood, splitting and storing and filling wood boxes were as routine, as eating supper with an oil lamp in the center of the table. FWIW, I got my first flushing handle and dial-up telephone, when I got married at 21. Thus, can relate to much of what is considered to be off-grind. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
Reality is sometimes harsh. Last year was my 1st winter with a permanent inside tank. Outside tanks are for critters. Lol I'll chip away and melt on the stove. Same with snow. It's water for the birds.
Awe, thanks for the shout-out ❤

I love your life story. The younger generation needs to hear our stories and learn our old ways. It brings me peace of mind.
Here, ive got 4x6 windows on the south side of my house so even in the winter , if the sun shines, i can let my stove go out.
Winter has arrived my friend. ❤

I had to give you a honorable mention lol.
Get a fan to move upstairs air down, a few muffin fans should help. Put them on a timer to turn on before you wake up
@@christiantroy3034 I actually have spare little fans a new thermostat and timer.
