I was 16 the first time I listened to Blind Guardian, it was 1994, still I am here, supporting the greatest band ever. Great song!

I was 15 the first time I listened to them, in 2006... I still love them, and can't wait to see them again live soon... So many different generations with the same feelings and experiences due to music, it is so cool...

@@F3rn4nd0S1lv4 Not trying to be a dick, but if you really want your opinion to matter most, give some examples. One of my issues with BG personally is how the bass feels like it doesn't matter at all. It always seems to be drowned out in the mix in a majority of the songs (at least in the newer albums of theirs. I've heard them before, and when I got my hands on, A Twist in the Myth, is when I became a fan of theirs.) Then again, it could be mixed well enough that if I heard the songs without it, it could sound significantly worse. I need to hear this song on my Hi-Fi before I can judge it for that, but it still sounds about the same as previous ones. Still love them though. Especially their last two albums, At the Edge of Time, and Beyond the Red Mirror.
Imagine being a band around as long as them, and still delivering THIS hard. Who else can do that? Incredible.

@@Metzwerg74 Sure. Easily my favourite band,and i have seen over 100 bands like dio,black Sabbath,maiden,sabaton,nightwish,symphony x,sonata arctica etc.
Whole Album is a masterpiece. They have great harmony with their unique lyrics, and that's what makes them indispensable.
I just want to take a second and appreciate how rare it is for a band to deliver music at this level of creativity over the course of multiple decades, and never lose their signature sound.
Honestly it's amazing.
The chorus is so good! I think this song sounds like a mix between older and new BG. Love it! Is hard to wait for the whole album!

My discovery of Blind Guardian is what led me to metal. My tastes may have grown, I may have found other bands I love with all my heart and soul, but in the end, I’ll always return here, always put these guys first. This is a kick-ass song, a perfect mix of old and new sound with a cool theme. 111 days until I see you guys in Switzerland, and I can’t fucking wait. (Yes, I’m literally planning on international travel in the midst of a pandemic to see my favorite band.)

SOOOO much energy in this track, Hansi's vocal is unbelievably great as usual, the melodies are catchy and the production is rawer which I like a lot. This sound really promising, there's a old BG vibe to this without leaving completely their modern area, love this song so much after only 4 spins!!! Welcome back the Bards \m/

We're lucky to be living in his era.
He's done SO well to preseve his voice too, often avoiding doing screams live since the 2000's, but still doing them for harmonies in the studio.
..and at the same time, there was a 2015(?) live rendition of Script For My Requiem, where he pretty much screamed the entire first verse - sounded absolutely crazy!!!

He’s great in the studio, but it’s a shame he never attempts to sing like the original when they play live. I totally get that there are things one can do when they’re young that’s not possible when they’re older, but he takes ‘taking the easy route’ to a different level. Even this new song here, I guarantee without a doubt he’ll be dropping lower on almost all those high notes. I still love him and I don’t mean to be knocking him, at least he’s not just using track! I guess consider it a positive criticism

Haven’t checked in with Blind Guardian in years, decades even, and I can’t believe how incredible Hansi still sounds!
Blind Guardian still delivering their music that really connects with my soul. The only way I can explain it is that it is like a religion to me, I just get filled with these emotions and energy that other things in my life can't match. Thank you BG! Make your way back to Australia when you can. You have touched my life so much and some of my best memories are in the presence of your beautiful music.

Would easily be the weakest track on Imaginations. Just think of all those godlike melodies and refrains on that album.
I was always disappointed they didn't have another midway point album like Imaginations, I love Knightfall, but it just seemed like the progression from old to new happened a tad too fast.

There have been some production issues on the last couple albums that might just be attributable to hearing loss from being in a metal band for 30+ years. That high pitched beeping on the album version of Curse My Name is still there.
It’s so frustrating with Grand Parade because if you could actually hear everything that would be the most brain-explodingly epic song of all time.

I share a birthday with Hansi and I was born the year Blind Guardian came together. I found this band in middle school or early high school with A Night At The Opera as their latest release... I bought that album and psychical release for And Then There Was Silence single (with a QuickTime video on the disc CD-ROM).
I was the only kid at school rocking Blind Guardian.
I saw them live for A Twist in the Myth and my passion for this band has not wavered in the years since.
Love this band and so excited for new material already. Love that this feels like early BG speed metal with their current power/symphonic sound

@@momotheelder7124 or was the weirdest time to get into BG! Because there was such a sharp change in sound. Under the Ice, And Then There Was Silence, Punishment Devine, and Battlefield were all tracks I had heard ahead of the album purchase and they all have that strong, larger orchestra sound against the more straightforward speed and power metal albums before it.
