Thank you for your videos. I have a BN-20. I am having overspreying issues with black only. In the nozzle test, cmy are perfect with the lines but black is missing some lines and crossing some lines. I have talked to a technician here (I am in Istanbul, Turkey) and advised that we should change the print head. I was wondering what would your comment be? I have tried head soaking for couple of days but nothing changes on the nozzle test and with the overspreying problem. Any recommendation?
Black ink printhead always goes bad first. If the printhead is more than 4 years. It is usually time to replace a new printhead. Without being there. I can only guess.
@@Premiercolour thank you for your response 🙏🏼 its not that old maybe two years but used in a very clean environment. If it is overspraying, there is no treatment but to replace it i understand, is that right?
My printer is fairly new and only printed around 6 -8 prints tshirt size .. it started only printing greens/blues/grays. Is the problem similar to the issues you just listed?
Hi I am in Australia, I purchased a bn20 secondhand, they had not used it for printing for a few years. I have serviced it as best I could but I keep on getting a message when I start it saying low temperature, how can I fix this please. I am a disabled pensioner and can't afford to purchase a new printhead so if you can help me out with advice I would really appreciate it. regards Jen
Low temperature uusally to do with printhead cable or printhead. I would replace the printhead cable from Roland. Not compatible ones. If that does not work. Now most likely it is the printhead.
@@premiercolour611 Also if the printhead is fitted reversed. All the cables fit as there are two sets of connectors but nothing works. Cgheck the F and R on the PCB's under the clipon cover of the head.
Great video. We bought a used BN-20 and it worked great for a few weeks. Now it just doesn't print. We've tried soaking printhead for several days, replaced the captop, but no change. The only thing we haven't tried is replacing the dampers, but we don't have any ink leaking so not sure if that is the problem. Is there any other thing to try? Otherwise we are just out $2500 which is what we paid. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Give damper replacement a try.

If under warranty. Call for warranty service. Other wise, I would replace cap top, perform 2 strong cleans and try. If don't work. Call for service.

There could be more things. I would call a tech for help.
@@premiercolour611 - We bought used from a third party, not from Roland. Do you mean call you or Roland? Will they talk without a warranty?
