  • Oxo's V-Blade Mandoline easily slices fruits and vegetables and will become one of your favorite kitchen tools. It features four blades and a simple height adjuster which allow you to make straight slices, crinkle cuts, French fries and julienne strips in a variety of thicknesses. The blades store on board and are easily removed for cleaning. The textured surface of the mandoline keeps food from sticking, and the food holder securely holds food and protects your fingers. Feet fold and lock for easy and compact storage. Hand wash blades; Mandoline body and food holder are dishwasher safe.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have found this video. I sat here for like, a year never using the french fry attachment I didn't even know I had. And now, I have found it and used it! Thank you! :)

I’ve had mine for about fifteen years. Never rusted and still super sharp. ❤

She doesn't explain how to change the blades. I would think that would be very important to learn how the whole slicer works, not just one part.

It doesn’t cut my potatoes all the way through. It pretty much scores them and then I have to break each fry off the sliced potato

Just answered my own question. I see that the french fry blade is color coded with the orange color coded 1/4" stripe.

I know how to slice things. How do you get the blades out?

    How do you change blades?
Mine are locked in and won't come out..and the straight blade won't lock back in place.
    WTH???

Very helpful. I don't use mine nearly enough so was going back to explore the settings and this helped a lot. What color/ size would be good for shoestring french fries?

Tell you what, do not be cocktailing while unboxing. You’ll never get the pieces back in the thing after taking it apart. The only way I could was next morning watching Paula. The instruction booklet is totally useless.

Can we use it for sausages slicing ?

No, it's not made for meats, only veggies.

I'm sure it will work. If the blades cut through potatoes, they'll cut through meats.

Apparently has 4 blades and only showed two and only used on potato and tomato. VERY poor demonstration.

We always recommend using the guard that came with the slicer.

Robotic voice and faceless expression. A robot has more expressiveness.
The machine was not clearly demoed. Need better closeups.
