Great to see The Greasy Strangler getting scoped out. Went to a screening of it about a month ago at HOME, Manchester - was happily amazed at how busy the screening was.
This is a great insight into one of the very last bastions of what many believe to be a dying trade. Decades later we see that this "dying" sentiment is perhaps erroneous. Snips is indeed a pillar of the community, and rightly so. 16k titles and still going strong. As an independent, swimming against the current of multi-media moguls that exclaim the new paradigm, Snips stands firm, insouciant ...zen!
Dear Video Store Man, Thank you Mr Dave for the tour of your store. Mr Dave you have such a great collection and it is indeed a paradise for the movie lover. I look forward to watching more of your videos in the near future. Mr Dave has curated something special here with his movie library. It is great that we can rent out such titles as "Banjo". Films like these are often overlooked and deserve the same appreciation as mainstream Hollywood releases. Thank you Mr Dave. Mr Dave, please could you give the BearWolf 🐻❄ 🐺 a shoutout in your next video? Yours sincerely, BearWolf
The Movie House in Kidderminster is still going, it's been there since 1982. There is a video about it on TH-cam called 'The Last Movie House'. I'm curious about the other stores that are still going. :)
Great video, looking forward to future episodes … visiting Snips is the highlight of my week … totally ❤ all things Troma (yeah I’ll be renting at least 1 Troma movie next week)
Fantastic video, mate. It's great to see people still renting films and somewhere still offering the service. You're not to far away from me, I'll have to have a trip over at some point and check it out. Keep the content coming!
This video was heaven. Do you have a system - that episode I want to see. I go by label and release number but have edited (& fucked up ) the order by doing release number but with slip covered editions shoved to the end but in release order, then steelbooks, then boxsets and then Big Box single editions followed by 4k's edited the same way. The labels are also alpha numeric so 88, 101, Arrow etc
Awesome video and great films. I haven't of Summer of '84 before but it sounds interesting (I've just now ordered the BD via Amazon). Looking forward to more videos 🔥👍💿📼
You are 100 percent right about Lone star. Sayles Silver is awesome. Love the channel it's nice to see a show like your there aren't many like it here in the U.S.
I’m new to this channel so I think maybe you should elaborate is this a video store? Is this your basement? Is this your house? I’m not really sure I enjoyed the video but for us new people show the store a little bit more. Thank you.
As a contributor of the section "It's Gaz" in episode 2 Kenny. I also want to know if I was indeed in Dave's basement or perhaps, his house (God forbid, his bedroom), following a re-enactment of Eli Roth's "Hostel" whereby I escaped and was able to cry for help, by way of a TH-cam video comment...that I am still typing...stop me when you know I'm ok, mum...

@@DeathbombarcOh cool! Own it, but never seen it. I shall put it right to the top of my watchlist. Thanks for the recommendation.

That label spotlight was a great idea😉😂👍
Thanks Jeff! Some bits will work and some won't, but I think this segment should have legs.

Great video! What do you use to keep track of inventory/rentals that are checked out?
I use an incredibly advanced piece of technology... erm, paper and a pen! Sounds crazy, but sometimes simple is best!
Long time coming but just starting this series now.
Great so far.

Thanks Bruce. Cheers for watching!
Riki-Oh is phenomenal. Really need to dig my copy out.
Isn't it just! So pleased to see people so hungry to watch it.
Only five video stores left in the UK, Dave? Wow. :(
It might be fewer. A sad state of affairs.
Great video, Dave, although in the Troma recommendations you did mispronounce Class of Nuke 'Em High as Tromeo & Juliet. Happy to help 😂😂
Gah! I'm always doing that! ;)
YES DAVE!

Talking about the "diversity" of people's rental choices while holding up a copy of Birth Of A Nation, that's great 🤣🤣
