Mr. Hidalgo. Awesome video. When you were replacing things and you said "That looks happy" had me laughing as I think the same thing when I am working on my cars.

Great video!!! it looks like the positioning is slightly different on the E55, but the overall steps should be the same. Time to order more parts!

Many thanks for the DIY video, I will be ordering the kit soon. Quick question, @10:35, what diameter clear tube are you using? Do you sell it on your website?

Is this replacing the reservoir or the actual power steering pump?

Hi Henry, in this video we are just replacing the reservoir which has a built-in filter.

I don't understand why it's necessary to change the reservoir if it's not leaking.

Hi Steve, the reservoir itself has a built in filter which cannot be replaced, so good practice would be to replace the reservoir, especially on a higher mileage vehicle, or a vehicle with no service history.

How about splitting open one of this power steering oil filter, with 100,000 to 150,000 miles on it?.
I started making the habit of splitting open the old engine oil filter after new oil change. Just a few small specks of shinny metal. 17 years old M271 with 120,000 miles on it. Engine oil topping of not more than 1 quart within the 6500 miles interval. Regards
