Hello, thanks for the great video : do you have the original numbers of the fill/drain plug 14 mm , I can only find 12 mm

My 2003 SL55 looks pretty similar, there was white thread tape on mine when I took them off, like the supercharger, you think that's factory?

Hi Benjamin, someone may have done a service and used that as a sealant if they re-used the factory plug.

Should you replace the drain plug and filler plug each time oil is changed.

This is hilarious, I was looking for this information last weekend. I ended up buying the diff oil from mb dealer. 25 bucks for a small bottle.

My local dealer wants $80 for a 1L bottle! I found some Fuchs Sintopoid for $26 for my open diff.

Hi, regarding drain plug, did you use some sealing (teflon tape, silicone, ...), or the bolt was clean ? Because w/o seal, there must be leak or not ?

Hi Grygarek, at install (4:40), you will note that this is a tapered seal, no sealant or Teflon is needed for the threads. If you choose to use a sealant on them, allow it to dry before filling the case back up.

Is there any benefit to an additive for the slip diff? Also, any downside to slightly over filling?

On my W205AMG C63 the diff oil had a very high iron content at the first change 16,600 miles ( 3.5 years) is that normal ? Thanks

What kit does FCP recommend for W211 E63 AMG vehicles without the Limited Slip Option?
