I love Nikko. During the Meiji Era, the lake district of Nikko was popular as a summer resort and winter ski resort, with villas of European embassies such as Great Britain, Italy, Belgium and France. Since then, this area is called Japan’s Lago di Como.
This video is super. Everything was very interesting and beautiful. A cool combination of a train ride, a visit to a historical landmark, then a review of the waterfall. I'm thrilled, I really liked it. Greetings from Sevastopol Crimea.😊😊😊
This was wonderful. Loved the shrine and the bottom of the waterfall. They needed to fill that beer all the way up for the price. Thank-you for taking us along. From Kentucky USA
Thank you, thank you for your videos, work and dedication. Your videos are for me the final point of the day that help me disconnect and relax, I love getting to know Japan through your experiences and feeling for a few minutes in each place you visit, a thousand Thank you for what you give me, I hope you continue like this for a long time and that life thanks you for how happy you make some of us who like Japan and its culture✌️✌️✌️
I love this train. It would make a fabulous intercity train here in France and the rest of Europe. And I have to visit Nikko one day. I live in a seaside resort on the Atlantic, north of Spain. It's really pretty here, but the landscape around Nikko and the waterfall is fantastic. I would have to spend several days there. Thanks for the video! I enjoyed the ride. Oh, and those Premium Seats remind me of pumpkins more than eggs. 🧡

Summers in Japan are no joke. I visited in August 2018 and it was heat and humidity on a level that can’t be described. It’s already 93 and it’s not even August yet. It may get even hotter. I can’t imagine. Visit Japan in November when autumn leave start showing. It’s nice and cool weather, it’s not peak travel season so there should be less tourists there. I want to go during this time of year but I also want to visit my brother who lives and works in Japan. Just like everyone who works in Japan, he can only take an extended time off work in August.
Perfect to lose weight I don't mind the heat.. the humidity is something elese however...yikes ...I can't stand winter in Japan... I know it goes as low a 32F (rarely in Tokyo.. as low is usually 40f) somehow it feels colder
That view with the bridge is phenomenal! Wow. It looks like it came through a painting. I’m amazed at the beauty of Japanese architecture. Gorgeous. I wish I went there with my parents.
Thanks for the wonderful video. I was there in Feb 2020, just before the pandemic. Freezing cold day with snow flurries but loved every minute, especially the Shinkyo bridge and Toshogu shrine. Was pretty quiet because of the weather. Went to a ramen place, a hot bowl of noodles 🍜 was just the thing to warm up. Keep up the great work!

Thank you for sharing, what an amazingly beautiful train as so cheap but the lottery to use the lounge and snacks was hilarious in the uncivilised western world were I come from there would be anarchy if you couldn't get a pie and coke .... the temple and waterfall was beautiful so interesting the elevator to base of the falls...lunch looked interesting and the butter goes inside the bread roll lol...a beautiful and luxurious day trip for very little money so enjoyed my day out
Such a stunning voyage you took us on today! The train is beautiful (i love the orange and gray), but the views stole the show. Just wow! Safe travels and happy weekend 💖🙏🕊 ...And scissors. I went with scissors 😬🤭⛰🧻✂️
I was there in mid September this year and it was still 35 degrees with 90% humidity. For a Canadian, this was unlivable, and I had to come home after 3 days. I just came back from a two week trip that began at the end of November. It was 18 degrees and sunny ( but cool ) the whole time. Perfect weather. I would love to live in Japan, but not when it's that hot and humid for half the year.
Things weren't that bad in the past. Like, 50 yrs ago, 30 degrees was considered a hot summer day. Now it's 34-35. Global warming and modern building materials made the city quite unbearable in Summer.
