My mother in law has a lot of these and other things as well. Nobody in her family thinks anything of it because "shes been like that for years" and they just think that is the way she is. She even brings food to restaurants because she doesn't want to eat anything unhealthy at a restaurant. Like she actually brings a lunchbox to restaurants. She also eats separate food from what is cooked at home for everyone else when people come over for dinners. She exercises obsessively, does a lot of cardio. Constantly looks at ingredients and refuses to even take a bite of something if it has something in there that she doesn't think is good to eat. I feel like I'm the only one that thinks something is wrong.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that. That definitely sounds like she needs to work on her relationship with food, keep being the voice of reason!

thank you for this video - really insightful and helpful! may i ask for your thoughts on how restriction impacts cognitive functioning? like the phenomena of obsessive ''food thoughts' and 'mental hunger' and whether there is any science to back them? thank you so, so much for your videos; the science-based approach is brilliant to have in the community as many other ideas are anecdotal and lack evidence! i truly appreciate your work :D

1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 applied to me. 🙈 But I never really consider myself having an ED because I'm overweight, almost obese.
