I like the fun these guys have while wtching! Amazing how the ground seems to be hard and the securities of the plow are working and both tractors sound very nice!
That 5 bottom is only for" in-furrow" use. Adding a right dual would only compact freshly plowed dirt. By using the left dual, it helps level the tractor and give more pull to the left side, much like adjusting the alignment of the front tires. The 7 bottom the Deere was pulling was wide enough to be used "on-land" with duals on both sides.
Well its a good thing they are auto rest plows LOL I love the 1456 ! I have a 856 and a farm up the road from mine just got a 1256 , I hope to do some plowing with my 856 this spring or fall if I can find some plows for it
DAMN!!! had the front-end of that IH in the air!!!! that's some hard shittin ground!!! lol!!lol!! good thing ur plows got auto resets!!!! surprised u all didn't break anything!!
both tractors are going to fast. see the furrow wheel bouncing that is usually from to much ground speed, the furrow botton gets rough. also its tossing the dirt so far that it is flipping the sod back to the top. not leaveing a nice rolled furrow. would be willing to bet 3$ that if they dropped a gear the plow would smoothen out. or the coulter is not set correctly and there is sod falling into the furrow. i bleed green, but you have to love the old 710/720 ih plows, very good plows.
the second tractor is going to fast. see the furrow wheel bouncing that is usually from to much ground speed, the furrow botton gets rough. would be willing to bet 3$ that if he pulled the ta back or dropped a gear the plow would smoothen out. or the coulter is not set correctly and there is sod falling into the furrow. i bleed green, but you have to love the old 710/720 ih plows, very good plows.
That plough (plow) isn´t the best one on hard ground. The autoreset is to weak ant the furrows doesn´t seek its way down the soil as a good plough do. That is why these never ever had any success over here and it also explains why Kverneland do have success everywhere because they do the job properly. Lovely sound and tractors though and a fun video.
Probably one of the best plowing videos on TH-cam that headline was really hard

I never seen ground that hard before! Good looking tractors!
Nice tractor! Sounds and looks great!
love this video nothing better than plowing diesel exhaust and beer thanks for the upload 😆
We run a 5 bottom IH 720 plow. it is a great machine. the 4440 can really run ours. nice to see a large farmer still plowing.

Matthew Hoag best explanation I've ever seen, makes sense
nice to hear tractors instead of sorry music covering them up
Best two plowing videos on youtube and kind of in my neck of the woods, even better. Where in Wayne county is this, generally?

are those 16" 18" or 20" furrows bold bord plows?
That ole' 14 runs damn good
Nuthin' better than the sound of AMERICAN diesel power!!
What is the tractor model number
them 466s sound really nice
That 14 sounds awesome!
@TheKarinavargas I couldn't tell you why but you have to re-seed alfalfa every so many years to get good hay, just the way it's always been done.
A Deere John and a Cornbinder in the same field, must make for some interesting discussion
God i miss the country living ....a little more work to live in the country but it is well worth it

if you would slow down that plow would stay down, that headland is plenty hard but its all operator error especially the guy on the 1456
The red tractor is FORD?
just watched the end, lol.....shit, plowing in July lol..OMG. tripping plows left and right....too much power

I had a John Deere 5-14 and an IHC 7-16 BOTH GOOD PLOWS THE JOHN DEERE WAS AN INTEGRAL IN FURROW AND THE IHC was an on land
You didnt have a chisel or subsoiler to break up that headland ?
with turbo too!
Looks like the plow needs new points especially on the headlands.

Would like the 4955 even more if it had black fenders up front and a regular muffler
After dark you can see that smoker. Thanks
haha burning fuel and drinking beer. Yous boys got a party
devil tractor and drag at 7:32
like the dual on the 4955 the 1456 should have a right dual
You dont put a dual on the right with an in furrow plow stupid.
They should know the ground is hard
You got a cool hustle on guys! Slow plowing is boring and uncool.
@paprna no it is an ih
The guy on the IH better wear some hearing protection with that straight pipe
WHERES LITTLE D.R. HIMSELF???????
@paprna an international
you must be trying to make those tractors pull to much the way they sound
@vegoildieselguy ih?
wow that just gives me a chubby lol
got a 5-14 IH PLOW 4-SALE
