I love terminator so much... but why do they never want to do the future war?
the short future war scenes in every film were the coolest parts of the movie, and people have wanted a full length future war movie since 1984.
They ruined their one attempt with Salvation, and the success and praise of the game Terminator: Resistance proved that people STILL want a proper future war story.
Why do the back in time thing again?

I don’t understand at all. We keep getting the same go back in time shit every movie. Every time they do it they ruin the franchise even more. I wanna see John Conner the leader of the resistance. They can do a whole show about that but they decide to keep doing the same stuff.

I get not doing it back in the 80s and 90s, but with the amount of CGI getting pumped out every year they could totally do it.
