I really want to put carbon fiver vinyl wrap on my scooter but I only have around 50p on my card so I can’t lash out on a nice wrap. Plus If you are about that life get gold wrap and use it as a trim around your bike it will make it look like you just pulled out of the hills

One way is to get more speed.. don't buy a 50cc...go ahead and get a 150cc and up..I don't get people buy a 49cc scooter and complain about how slow it is... it's a one cylinder motor no matter what you do to it it's still slow... it's not a dragster scooter...
Feed Me I just recently bought a 50cc because I don't need a motorcycle license for it. I can't really complain about the speed because it's fun even though it's slow.
Are you trying to say that a 150 is a twin cylinder motor? Because they’re not! Most dirt bikes are single cylinders and they fly. So I’m not quite understanding your argument

I don’t know how restricted the stock cdi chips in the US but here in the uk 50cc bikes can go +45mph.

Their required to at minimum do 65. Some better brands can do 80.

I think the biggest bang for the buck, is a bug bore, and a big valve head, with a cam! And exhaust, maybe as far as a 24mm carb upgrade, maybe cut the head, to get 10.5:1 to 10.85:1 close to 11:1 compression ratio, I wouldn't go over, unless you have access to 98- 100 or higher octane fuel, I have a big valve head on the way, I'm hoping it will make the difference! Along with a 24mm carb, and oil cooler, (and a aftermarket or 125-150cc intake with a bit of modifications, and head porting,). I have a couple 50 cc heads that are ported if anyone wants to buy them, one has about 2 hours on it, the other is new, I have a A9 cam to go with one, slightly used, the head is the long valve version, more power ponential when porting, it only needs bigger valves! If you can find a shop to do the valve job on such tiny valves, the long valve heads have room to raise the ports nearly 5mm, a good 3/16" with big valves it can make a difference, especially with good springs, and titanium retainers, witch I also have coming with the big valve head! 3.5mm larger valves should make a difference with the cam, 24mm carb, and the springs, and titanium retainers! It should spin to 11000 rpm at least, and make a good bit more power, my next step is a 150swap, if it doesn't make enough power! A 52.4mm bore with stock stroke should do it , with the head and all, if not surely a 171cc should definitely get me where I need to be! But a great set, with a big bore us about the only way to get more mph! A head with big valves and better springs, so it can spin over 8k rpm will also help, a gear should get about 10-15mph, and the capacity to spin 10k + rpm, should be capable of about 10mph + so it should wind out to 60-65mph, and Cruse at 45 easily! But race clutches , and coils is about the last thing to buy, but a 20mm carb, and a better intake, and exhaust, for up to 80cc bigger I'd go with a 24cc CV carb, or a 20mm slide carb, a modified stock air box works fine, fir about any power level!

You should be getting more RPMs. Here's what I recommend on getting more speed, Two options 1) Install The Beast Big Bore Kit. Doesn't the big bore kit put a lot of strain on the rest of the engine/drive train components which were designed to handle HALF the power? Or is the fact that you're using the same smaller valves a restricting factor when compared to other mods such as valves, larger carb, exhaust etc., thus limiting the added strain on the rest of the drive train?

Im a scooter driver... 50cc scooters top speed is 35 maybe 40.Its designed to go those speeds nothing higher. So why put modifications on it an wear the motor out?.
i suspect the modest top speed improvement is due to a speed governor or something like that. years ago, a buddy of mine had an old motobecane that either broke or the governor wore out and down some big hills, he could go about 50 mph.
Does the CY50-A VIP 50cc use the long case engine or the short case engine?

I just shot another video showing this scooter racing a stock VIP scooter and also it racing a VIP 150. In both races the High Performance VIP in this video won.
They are 50 cc scoots. Rarely is a cop going to stop you, unless You go completely nuts and are doing 50 in a 25 mph school zone. Hell I got pulled over at 54 in a 45 zone. They cop wanted to ask me about my scooter. He has since bought one himself. And with those mods I still averaged 79 miles to the gallon. Plus if you do basic mods. Not as likely to have some ahole try to run you off the road. I have seen likker cicle riders having traffic backed up for a mile. Who wants that?
I have an Ice Bear Mojo trick with a 100cc big bore kit. The rest of the scooter is bone stock . What would you recommend for getting it up to top speed? Including sprocket and chain kit. I want to get it so I can ride in a 45 mph zone, with a little more throttle. So I don't have to go full throttle all the time. At 45 mph please let me know what you suggest thanks
The coil is the best for performance
israel rivera1 second agoI have a 49cc scooter. Was running great. Park it and the next day it wouldn't start. When you try to start it ,it turns. But when you open the throttle the motor tries to stop. Just like if ur battery was low. If you let go of the throttle it will turn over at normal speed. But wont turn on. I replace the spark plug. Checked for spark. Cleaned out the carb and adjusted the valves. What can this be?

Hi . I really want to upgrade my speed and perfomance overall on my Sym GTS 125i evo. The current max is at 72 mp/h slightly downhill. Driving uphill i get down to ridiculous 40 mp/h. Any ideas what I could do/swap on the bike? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

I put that cdi on my scooter and it seems to do fine on flat roads but going up hills it wants to bogg down and cut off then I stop cut it back on and baby it up the hill then back on flat surface it does just fine
so I am riding the Honda ruckus 2016 factory new. I get about 37mph on flat road I wanna get it to about 40-45 I'm 140 pounds. is the ruckus able to be increased to that speed without putting a higher engine on it keeping it at 49cc? brand new to the moped world but I love my ruckus. just need some help making it go faster. thank you
if it has a carburettor, get a bigger one, get a new exhaust system and get the restrictions off the variator/engine itself

No you can’t sadly to say you’re going to have to put a cheaper engine in it like the Chinese engine they’re just much more capable of reaching higher speeds in the GY6 engine is the same as a Honda engine it’s just cheaper but it could be just as reliable if you swap out all the cheap parts and stuff in it and put nothing but Taiwanese stuff in it in Japanese an American parts in it it’s just like any other engine if you put nothing but cheap stuff in it even if you put cheap Chinese stuff in a OEM ruckus or DI0 engine Is going to have the same affects it would on a cheap Chinese engine put better quality parts spin a hell of a lot of money on them and you have yourself a reliable bike
II just got a 49 cc icebear scooter I'm gonna change the coil ..,icbox ..I will put a 80 cc bore n a performance exhaust you not crazy super performance but just enough to make a difference iam 34 years old I'm not going to race with it but because I'm a big guy 250 p I will like to get some speed n torque I'm not looking to spent crazy brand name performance stuff ...just enough

This is a really good video, especially in a field where most videos are 15 year olds cutting a wire here and there. Good ressource for those of us that are interested in something a bit more sophisticated.

I have a ice bear trike 50cc it’s a pst 9 model only has 400 miles on it. I put up graded coil and cdi box and changed varator rollers to 5 grams instead of stock 9’s it seems to be doing better but I noticed some one had tried to upgrade it but they didn’t know how to do after going threw it I noticed that the bolts that hold on the cover are going to need replacing and the varator is to because it has some really rough spots on it so I don’t know what they did but I want to upgrade it and get the cover because where the starter kicks out it’s been drilled? I didn’t use that. But I’m having a hard time finding the cover because kick start is in center of cover and I don’t have a lot of money to play with so I want to know if you have the cover and bolts and performance varator and clutch and a Kevlar belt that I can put out it so that is all done and right I can try and find your number so I can give you the engine number because I want to put a 80cc or 100 cc kit on it. I’m disabled and I’m working with a broken right hand and cracked wrist they can’t fix. So I want it to go faster keep up with traffic and be able to get out and cruise in the country and just ride . I would be happy if I can get it to do 50 55 mph because it would be safer to get out of the way of the manic’s and just be able to cruise in country will make me happy. But I hope you can get back with me. But I’ll look up your number and I am in Indiana so I don’t know what time difference is or where your at but I like you videos and I do wish they would actually show you changing things like performance varator and clutch and Kevlar belt. But I’m going to also get a performance carburetor and jets to go with it. But I am hoping that the 80cc kit will get it to where I want it. But I do know that the shocks are junk it has nothing I weigh 174 and they bottom out and you hit a bump ouch. I bought it used and not running but it runs fine now and rides good if you can avoid bumps so I gotta lot I am doing to it but it needs the cover and bolts and performance varator and performance clutch and Kevlar belt because they bugerd them up and those are important things that have to be right. LOL really dude how much speed you really think you'll get out of a 50cc with a turbo I know I did research pretty much you'll get more with a big bore kit he will get more with the Big Bore Kit in different types of mods
And plus you can lose speed when you cut Corners with turbo turbos typos just like in cars. And those turbos are meant for small engines so they're really not really going to give you that much acceleration b

it's a 4 stroke!...I went to the shop and we all feel its piston rings are burned up...was super low on oil (yikes)and it shut off on me....I put more oil in it...still runs like a champ but smokes now...smoking usually stops when rode alot...I check oil regular now...even more now that it's burning more oil
If your putting a new top end I'd upgrade it to a big bore kit.

The moped is a jonway-50cc.. (second engine )...the first lost compression. ..the guy at the ship did a compression test..said it was the top end...idk...so we just put a new used engine in...and runs like a champ!..but smokes

I enjoyed the video. I have a 2014 ICEBEAR 3 wheel scooter/ moped. The title says it's a 49.5 cc. No one can tell me how to derestricted it, and thats after having had it in 3 professional scooter shops. My second problem is that I bought it second hand and no dealer will sell me parts because I am not their customer. I need both rear fenders and the CVT cover for the clutch, drive belt and kick starter. Can you offer any help with these issues?

No you can’t sadly to say you’re going to have to put a cheaper engine in it like the Chinese engine they’re just much more capable of reaching higher speeds in the GY6 engine is the same as a Honda engine it’s just cheaper but it could be just as reliable if you swap out all the cheap parts and stuff in it and put nothing but Taiwanese stuff in it in Japanese an American parts in it it’s just like any other engine if you put nothing but cheap stuff in it even if you put cheap Chinese stuff in a OEM ruckus or DI0 engine Is going to have the same affects it would on a cheap Chinese engine put better quality parts spin a hell of a lot of money on them and you have yourself a reliable bike
