I love this. Bono sometimes takes some grief and flak, but the man is articulate and passionate, and knows how to string together uplifting, thoughtful words, with the best of them. Of course he’s gonna induct Bruce. 😊

I don´t hate Bono, but his speech about Springsteen was appalling. Honestly, watch it again. Didn´t bother to prepare, read from scripts initially, and somehow managed to "remember" without notes, all the negative things he could find.

There were so many mike drop moments…

The speech sounds good but nothing he is saying is true?? 😂! You can’t just say things that sound good but completely false? Is he a politician? I’m sure Bowie, Faces,Zeppelin,Sabbath, T. rex ,the whole glam thing,etc would disagree that there was nothing going on in the seventies.

You pointed out some great bands and artists from that era. I am in Bono's age range and also kinda felt it was arena rock wasteland during the mid 70s.
Bruce was a breath of fresh air and then punk came. I was liberated.
