I really enjoyed Lady Ruthless! I plan to read more from her this year. My favorite part of The Duke Gets Desperate is that the FMC is so business savvy!
I've followed you on booksta forever but I just found your channel, I need more historical romance booktubers to give me recs 💕💕 Oh my gosh the history behind The Duchess Takes a Husband is so wild!
Looove this list! So many that I want to check out. I need to get back into historical in 2024. I’ve only read a handful this year and my favourites were by Stacy Reid - A Scoundrel of Her Own and A Matter of Temptation. 🥰
My favorite book of 2023 was No Earls Allowed by Shana Galen and some of my other favorite historical romances were The Belle of Belgrave Square and Third Sons A Charm. I also read Ana Maria and the Fox in 2023! I also loved Married by Scandal which was a fantasy romance but felt like a historical romance!!!
So many fantastic historical romances! If you haven't already read them, Alexandra Vasti has a few novellas coming out in 2024 that are fantastic (I read them when they were available via her newsletter) as well as her debut novel. I'd also recommend Forever Your Rogue by Erin Langston, It Had to be a Duke by Vivienne Lorret, Knockout by Sarah Maclean, and all Felicity Niven's books. :)
I did read Forever Your Rogue and the Sarah MacLean. The Vivienne Lorret I’m excited to still get to. 💖 Thanks for the recs for Alexandra Vasti and Felicity Niven, those authors are on my TBR for the new year!
Oooh that is a tough one since I’ve really loved so many and they’ll be on my favs of the year list too lol Definitely A Rogue’s Rules for Seduction, The Notorious Lord Knightly, The Duchess Takes a Husband, Her Ruthless Duke, and Lions & Lace if I had to pick absolute favs!
I am new to this site. I am looking for a book. Can't remember the name or the author. This will be easy right? It's about twin princesses The first born got it all but the second was handmaid . A prince came to the castle and 2nd daughter was forced to pretend she was first born to lead him astray and let the real first born marry someone else. I read this years ago. If anyone could help me I can't thank you enough. It was a good book.
I think The Highwayman by Kerrigan Byrne was my fav hr in 2023. I realized I just love noir historical romances ! I need all the dark historical romance recs! All the others you mentioned, Harper St. George, Scarlett Scott, etc. I still need to read ❤

@christireadsalot Thanks for the rec! That is def on my radar! Does Stephanie Laurens write a lot of dark historicals as well? I read Devil's Bride and enjoyed it. I am wondering about her Black Cobra Quartet.
@books4everafter ummmm I don’t know if she really does? But then I’ve only read the first book for a couple of her series now and I haven’t really loved her stuff enough to continue. Soo I don’t know but I feel like I don’t hear about her stuff being dark.
