    Nice job on the Everest 10's. It's well worth the money and having 3 should be loads of fun. 👍

    Awesome ! I just put one of these on layaway at local pawnshop ,I have 4 tmaxx supermaxx builds and 2 jato traxxas buggy fully built ,and wltoys a959b ,I have so much fun with the Lil wltoys buggy I figured I would try my luck with a crawler ,looks like a fun truck ,just not much info out on upgrading ,looks like an excellent base platform to really get crazy with ,I'll probably do a crazy brushless upgrade of some sort after doing the upgrades you mentioned ! Great info my man ! Glad to see you enjoying a hobby with your sons ! Lucky to have a great Dad !

    You can get more flex, slightly lower center of gravity and most importantly, a better steering angle by moving the lower links to the 2nd position on the chassis. It won't push as much into turns and it stretches the wheel base a little longer. Another free and very effective mod for this truck.

    Thanks for the tip. I cut mine like you said, Dremeled them down to the meat and added 3oz of weight per wheel. Amazing how much it helps.

    I just took the foams out of my son’s Everest 10 stock tires. No cutting necessary. Damn it can climb like a champ now. While it doesn’t have the clearance to completely walk up my hardwood stairs, it can now effortlessly get its front tires up a step (which has a lip), before it bottoms out on the chassis plate. Prior to the foam removal, they would just spin on the hardwood.
    I also put a Tamiya Torque Tuned 540 in it, that I had lying around from an old buggy kit, that I built a few years back.

    Hey man, I co-founded what was the largest RC Drift group in the U.S. pre-2008 and while I left them due to personal differences I had 5 years of testing car after car for the new guys. I also had time before that racing off-road buggy and truck back in the days between the TA RC10CE and Losi XXX. (My favorite will always be the Traxxas TRX-1 Buggy). But I will tell you that you are absolutely right about the little guy thing. Companies like Redcat and Exceed are perfectly good vehicles. Equipment from Hobbywing. Hobby shops like R2. Never underestimate. They allowed me to bring in dozens of new hobbiests to RCs. No better way to keep kids out of trouble. Honestly I just got into crawlers this week with a Everest 10 but the mechanical is easy. I am just glad to get my hands into it again. I never feel right unless I am deconstructing or reconstructing something and if I didn't stop buying new parts for my 76 Ford I was going to go broke :)

    Oh, going to a stock motor as well (27 turn). Plan on buying a 5000 mah battery. Have spacers coming in to widen track. Dual servos. Fun stuff.

    Also bought 7 feet of aluminum U extrusion to play with the chassis.

    I cut my E10 tires the same way. A nice upgrade for it are the duratrax showdowns. Similar tread pattern as what you've done but taller n the rubber compound is super.

    Currently not available on Amazon unfortunately. I picked one up just now on ebay but I was taxed the $50 to ship to HI which was a bummer. I'm planning on picking up two more for both my sons as well :) Best of luck and looking forward to watching some of your crawling videos.

    When you swapped to 35t motor, did anything else need to be changed? Or was it a direct swap

    I just got my Everest 10 for chirstmass, for 175 buck out the door from the local rc Hobby shop, Need to upgrade the motor, is slow. For that price you need to upgrade make is fast.

      Get the 35t trailmaster motor fro Holmes. It's like $15 and almost doubles the speed. It's still not fast but it's a crawler and you dont have to go wide open to walk a trail.

    Traxxas titan 550 12 Turin in mine.. also take out the foam in the tires

    • @travispratt6327
      @travispratt6327 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I took the foam out and it’s better, but then I decided to cut it into a star like the two stage foam they sell, it’s way better than both, tire holds shape but still is soft enough to conform.
