What an excellent video mate!! I followed all the steps just how you explained them and got exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
Thanks so much for this. It worked perfectly. Previously, I was trying to make the connection using Make's instructions, but it got complicated really quickly.
Although I think I know more than the average user, automation is still very new to me. I'm just now familiar with using Make. Their guide is pretty good, but this video is more detailed than Make's guide. The summary images in the video helped to understand the material more easily and more deeply. Thank you very much! You contributed to my success at the beginning of learning Make app! 🤩🚀

Highly useful. Just one thing. Some other sources say that test users need to reaffirm the consent for Make to access private google email. Every week?
Google may require the app to periodically ask for reauthorization to ensure continued consent. This could involve the test user needing to reaffirm their consent regularly, though the frequency depends on several factors: Sensitive Scopes: If the app requests access to sensitive scopes such as Gmail read/write, consent might need to be reaffirmed more frequently. App Review Status: If the app has not undergone a full Google security assessment, it may be subject to shorter access periods. Security and Policy Changes: Google occasionally updates its privacy and security policies, which might also influence how often reauthorization is required. However, the need to reaffirm consent every week would be unusual unless the app's access is highly limited or temporary for security reasons. Typically, reauthorization is required after longer periods (e.g., 6 months or annually).
Thank you! We really appreciate it. Your options are limited: - buy a domain & use a business google account - use Zapier This is just a quirk of Make.com for now.

@@XRayAutomation was there a quick solution to this? I have the exact same problem. Gmail automation 1 works perfectly, the logs record it as successful, but the 2nd integration never starts & isn't mentioned at all in the logs. It's like it doens't exist

ACTUALLY THIS VIDEO WAS VERY HELPFUL, BUUUUT I DIDN'T HAVE ACCESS THEY SAID MY ACCESS WAS BLOCKED AND IT'S STILL BEING TESTED OR SOMETHING, WHAT SHOULD I DO IN THIS SITUATION?
Great call-out. Unfortunately, this is a unique problem for personal Gmail accounts. Periodically you’ll need to reverify. The only way we know of to eliminate that problem is to use a business or school account instead of a personal account.
Suppose you're getting a "Resources not found" error after trying to reauthorize the connection. In that case, it typically indicates that the authorization process was not completed successfully, or the connection to the Google account was not established correctly. Here’s what you can do: Remove and Re-add the Connection: Go to the Connections section in Make (formerly Integromat). Find the problematic connection and delete it. Re-add the connection by authorizing your Google account again. Clear Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, lingering session data can interfere. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try reauthorizing. Check Google Account Settings: Ensure that the permissions for Make (Integromat) are still active in your Google account. Go to your Google account's security settings and check connected apps. Use Incognito/Private Browsing Mode: Attempt to reauthorize the connection using an incognito/private browser window to avoid any interference from existing sessions. Verify App Permissions: Ensure that all necessary permissions are granted when you reauthorize the account.

I followed all the steps, but that part where I input my client id and secret, after I click sign in with google, I dont get the prompt to log in using any account like in this video. I am just taken back to the configuration of the gmail module and an error message of no auth mechanism defined appears. I literally followed the video steps word for word😢
If you have multiple google accounts, there might be conflicting auth - Try opening up Make & that google account in an incognito window (private browsing) -- it will force you to login again and may work as intended. Hope that works! 🫣
Hi, I did everything as you explained in the video. Thanks. Unfortunately every few days Make displays an authorization error and connections to Make have to be manually authorized again in Gmail. What could I have done wrong ? I would greatly appreciate your help.
Hi Marcus! Unfortunately, this is a limitation of using a personal Gmail account with Make. Because your Google Cloud project is set to “internal” and “testing”, Google will need to reauthorize every week. However, if you set the project to “external” and “public”, then Google will try to verify that you’re the owner of the authorized domains (integromat.com and make.com). Since you’re not the owner of those domains, that won’t work. Hopefully, Make will build a better integration soon for personal Gmail accounts, so the workaround in this video won’t be needed at all. In the meantime, you’ll have to either keep reauthorizing every week, or try setting up a Google Workspace instead. A Google Workspace account can be connected to Make like any other app, and you won’t need to reauthorize all the time. Workspace plans start at $6/mo. Alternatively, you could also try using Zapier for your Gmail automation instead. It’s a more expensive automation platform than Make, but it will let you connect personal Gmail accounts much more easily, and you shouldn’t need to reauthorize so frequently.
after a week the scenario was failed "Failed to verify connection 'matak-gmail-connection'. Invalid refresh token. Please reauthorize the connection." , how to refresh the token ?
To refresh the token in the scenario where you encounter the error "Failed to verify connection 'matak-gmail-connection'. Invalid refresh token," follow these steps: Go to the Scenario Editor in Make (formerly Integromat). Locate the connection module that is failing. Click on the module to open its settings. In the connection section, click on Reconnect Account or Authorize again. Follow the prompts to reauthorize your Gmail account. This process will refresh the token, allowing the connection to work properly.
