With a prevalence of hard reading I've noticed players will play as if they are running a certain team but their back line is different usually a spammy or charmer or another pokemon with hard hitting fast moves to close the game when you think you got them backed into a corner. I've been using lucario with aura sphere and shadow ball, kingdra and avallug with their pvpoke movesets, having close to a 70% win rate around 2000, love to know what you think
7:55 this is not a glitch but a new CMP mechanic (after GBL was fixed), the time between you using a charge move after winning a CMP and your opponent starting their charge move has been reduced almost to 0. The same happens when you lose a CMP and your charge move bubbles start as soon as the opponent's charge move animation is done.
I have formed a team of top meta relevant Pokémon, studied the strategy and still get hard countered every game after a winning streak of 2. I lose every CMP and I get so frustrated with the game that it makes me hate it. I can’t even reach ACE, do I suck or is it the algorithm???
Try ABB style, I hit legend previously with Grass-Fire-Fire: Trevenant Lead, Charizard Safe Swap, Blaziken closer in ULPC. For bad leads I switch into charizard (wing attack, dragon claw, overheat), then build up to overheat and bait with dragon claw, you either get two shields or you win back switch and the hardest counter to Blaziken out of the way. You have to have extreme discipline to trust your team can win even in poor situations, as long as you stick to your safe swap and then farm energy with your lead, then your last pokemon (closer) can usually come in and handle what is remaining as their third pokemon. Don't get discouraged man!
9:55 I want to eventually build this opponents team some day. Saw it on pvpoke the other day when I looked up team for drapion cause I just recently got a rank 60 shadow for UL but man is it gonna take a while.. and a lot of dust
I play Walrain, Drapion & Alolan Muk. Formerly it was a really good team, now always gets hard countered as f... Btw, shadow pokemon dont make that big of a difference.
Played this Team. Got completely hardcountered all the way through. Weird how my opponents never swap a Cress into my Drapion or don’t have a Swampert with Water Gun… Don’t have fun anymore tbh
Something similar to Drapion and non XL would be alolan muk since it can also spam moves but does it less efficiently. But if you liked the team synergy then probably Charizard or gliscor could play similar role. It was mostly used as safe swap or to load up on energy to threaten the next one that comes in. They might not have the same role against the META by themselves but could fill in for drapion for this team.

Drapion just hits so hard as a safe swap, I am also building my shadow drapion for UL, nothing really hard counters drapion due to its typing outside of ground moves or mud slap. Can seriously win you back switch or shields every time

Pretty much everyone are rich in resources to bring in their XL pokemons. Giratina altered will barely have any play against the bulky meta with its weak charge moves. Isn't it more surprising that we don't see as many swamperts ?

Idk, the team is Triple weak to nido and weak to regi lead, maybe use cofagrigus or giratina origin instead of drapion
