Past month when Love cup was around I use this team and had great success with it but This time I just change ariados to talonflame in the lead to see how this team perform. ✌️
personally I've been running a similar team replacing ariados with wormadam on the lead. been serving me well beating charm/poison/medicham leads (if they dont shield bug buzz). if they run electrode safe swap I typically catch their discharge after the 3rd volt switch on my own electrode. if they lead magcargo or talonflame, I instantly swap to electrode saving alomomola for later to match up with the talon

Every time I see a love cup video I remember that there is no master classic cups (open or premier) this time. Master league is the most consistent of all three leagues (as we can learn the meta over time, since it rarely changes) and that is why I love it. I can use pokemon I built back in pre season, way before level 50 and I can use same/similar teams every season, making every new investment worth it. I recently powered up my 98% groudon and I am sure it will become better in future (with its legacy move) and not get worse (like most move updates do to pokemon in great and ultra league, eg. Azumaril). Sorry for the rant, but as a pretty consistent player (I battle in GBL everyday at least a few sets and sometimes all 5) I feel it is high time Niantic understands that we PLAY this game for fun and to get away from the day to day problems. But when you remove the only consistent part of GBL (classic cups), the game becomes useless. As I battled in level 50 master league with my level 40 pokemon, I was amused to see a few other players doing the same. Even Jonkus's video from earlier today had players with level 40 legendaries in open ML. Because we miss ML classic. And love cup is not a substitute for the cheapest GBL league (if you have been playing since pre season, more tan likely you have all the meta mons built to 40). On the contrary, if Niantic wants us to play open master league, we need XL rare candies to be a raid battle reward. Which raid guarantees XL rare candies and how much is up to Niantic but it is high time we get them as a regular raid reward just like regular rare candies. Sorry for the rant, but I felt I should share this with you, since you are a community leader who plays GBL.
Amazing Lineup, i am a super beginner in pvp and got 100 matches now. I copyed this team 1:1 to reach lvl 20 for the outfit and went 21-0 first try. Then i lost the first time. I thank you alot for sharing this team!
This team is the absolute best and most reliable in the Love Cup. Since I dont have an Alomomola at the moment, Im running Rock throw Magcargo on the lead, Electrode with Foul play on safe swap and Aromatise. Its carried me to level 20 today, with 8 wins and 2 losses. Alomomola still is the pokemon to have though!
I used this team with medicham/druddigon & I got off so many hyper beams today. I should start recording my battles 😂 so many people don’t expect It especially if they swap In to catch a move
I'm a huge fan of your content. I've been struggling with Love cup until I used Drudigon, H. Slowbro and Sylveon. It's a cool team to counter the water, fire and electric meta. Drudigon is a tanky and aggressive lead! It'd be awesome if you used it during the Love cup.
I've been running perfect IVs Aromatiss and Talonflame and then a Shiny Shadow Scizor but this explains the constant Ariados and Alolamolas and Electrodes I've been encountering

This looks good! Im running Druddigon lead, Ariados and Wigglytuff. It gave me 5-1 in my first set. Then 4-1 and 3-2 sets. I get early pressure with dragon claw, and if they swap into fairy i just swap to Ariados. It worked for me today. Thinking of replacing Wigglytuff with Electrode and see how it goes.
I’ve been running this comp since last LC (Using return instead of Hyper Beam) I don’t even have 2 moves on my alomomola but it doesnt matter such a tank. I appreciate you bringing the Iv display back.
My team is similar but I'm running Ari/Alo then Crustle in back - gives me two answers for fire leads - if I ran into this team I'd go for one lunge then build up 2+ cross poisons, then swap into alo to bait out elec or equivalent - a loaded ariados has a lot of end game play in LC!
Funnily enough, I made this exact team for the love cup cause I was getting tired of master league before I saw this video. It really does put in the work!
I love seeing this team. My team of Medicham lead, Electrode, Magcargo loves to see it. Ariados rarely beats my Medicham. As long as I keep alignment Electrode easily wipes out Alomomola and Magcargo vs Electrode is not hard either.
I've been using Magcargo, Ariados and Electrode. Mag wins lead often but I use Ari sometimes there too. Only problem is Medicham, if you guess wrong he can sweep.

I’ve been mutilating with crustle on the lead, ariados, and electrode. I don’t run hyperbeam, but I will usually store up enough to present the threat, and my discharges usually get a shield. Also, I’ve been using mega horn on ariados, but it’s for a good reason with my strategy.

After watching this video I decided to build this exact team. All the Pokémon on the team are rank 21 or higher. I paid very close attention to the favorable matchups, when to swap, when not to shield and whatnot; and I went 0/10 😂👍🏼
I use Galarian Slowbro on the lead with confusion (for Ariados and Scolipede, plus it puts pressure on fairies)...Electrode on safeswap for neutral coverage and Scrafty in the back as opposed to the lead.
Ari + Alo is a great core. Add Electrode, who doesnt have any real hard counters, and you have a strong, balanced team..Considerations might be talon leads. Perhaps if you see a lot of talons, then swap electrode lead.
Im running Medicham (With Ice Punch against Grass, Flying & Dragon) Talonflame & Magcargo (both Incinerate) in the Love Cup. Btw, Alomomola doesn't need Hydro Pump bc (because) it can also lurn Blizzard and Waterfall does 16 damage already so yea, use Psychic and Blizzard instead, Zyonik.
I had Talonflame as my lead today. Don't think I lost a single match to an Ariados lead (there were loads!) and I'm not particularly good so must be a tough one to turn around.
It’s funny I find that based on what the meta randomly throws randomly changing between either for the lead has a great effect on the matchups randomly lol. Don’t have alo yet but am working well with clefable!
I use an Scrafty (lead), Seaking, and Lickitung. Scrafty lead because I've seen opponents have a charmer in the back and have seen opponents get off a move with their lead and then switch into a charmer right after and they lock their charmer with my Seaking with poison jab. Priceless. Seaking and Electrode is pretty balanced except the 1.6 damage but the icy wind bait seems to work a lot of the time and finish with drill run.
Triple stardust is not as enticing as it has been in the past as we are stuck with rank 20 dust rates all season making it seem more like what expert and legend players were getting anyways
Went 18-7 just yesterday with this team, it’s my favorite team to use! I use foul play instead of hyper beam on electrode tho, works much better for me
Niantic added the red/pink mons from the recent Season of Alola releases into the Love Cup as of yesterday (or today, depending on timezones) ... It should give some more interesting mons to use/come up against
Alomomola is spawning as part of the current event. If you're able to get outside safely & hunt them down, then definitely go for it. Also spinarak (ariadoses earlier stage) is still in field research tasks (I forget which task it is tho)
@@zlatanibrahimovic001 yeah, I run Dragon Breath on zard for druddigons so I can 1 shield farm down. Charmers are tough since shadow zard has like half the bulk of a talon, and electrode leads are tough but I still went 9-1

I did 17-2 with Druddigon Ariados Medicham with a 15-0 win streak today
After two good set with this team I lost 5 matches of the next set but I will try it again tomorrow 😀
I'm almost sure that in the Ariados vrs Scrafty matchup you win the 0 shield AND can farm down, for sure the 1st one tho.

I had Talonflame as my lead today. Don't think I lost a single match to an Ariados lead (there were loads!) and I'm not particularly good so must be a tough one to turn around.
I'm currently using Ariados, Milotic and Slowbro. Been pretty good.
