I graduated high school a semester early by taking a college class over the summer at a community college during my junior year of high school. I got to start college early and was able to spread out my credits widely. This made my course load pretty low and let me get a 3.72 GPA with very less effort.

If I could go back and do it again, this is what I would do. I would have gotten my GED at 16, attended community college until I was 18, and graduated university at 20. Would have worked great in my favor because I didn’t do great on the ACT’s in high school, so they put me in remedial math classes in college. I have a B.S. in physics, but it took me longer to complete because of that bullshit.

I only shaved one year off of college by taking college classes in highschool. Now I'm currently a college sophomore majoring in accounting/business analytics certificate

I took AP and Dual enrollment classes and when I graduated high school, I was a college sophomore (credit-wise), I highly recommend it! Not only are you saving money but you’re also cutting down time.

In my experience university classes have been much easier than highschool. That may just be because I was in several clubs, did dual enrollment, and had mostly AP classes.

Getting transfer from a junior college to a university is one of the most common way to finish college in two years.

As a former AP student, the ap exams are sooooo worth it 100%. I shaved off a whole semester of bullshit general education classes. Pro tip: you can sign up for ap exams even if ur not taking the class. I would defined recommend signing up for the Art History and Human Geography exams as they are rather easy and actually cover a lot of gen ed classes when you get a 3 or more

From someone who’s done many of the things you mentioned in this video, I absolutely agree!! Something else, taking mini-terms have helped me a ton. I love taking 7 weeks courses opposed to 16 😊

I'm a freshman in college. When I was in high school, I took some dual-enrolled classes but, I had no idea what CLEP was! Definitely going to look into that now. Thanks Shane!

To add more to the Dual Enrollment option. Some online colleges allow students to enroll into Sophia Learning and Straighterline programs. They are low-cost classes that equal college credit for a course. As long as you pass with a C or above it transfers in as a full class completed. It's a great option and honestly easier than an actual class. You pay a monthly membership to take the courses. If I remember correctly around $89. You can complete a class in a few weeks and some classes can be finished in days. Great option to finish up your general education classes as well!

In my school in Sacramento California, we offer so many classes paired with our Community college. I’ve already took general Ed classes like psychology, sociology and others
