This is going to be the ultimate guide to hacking college degrees (which means getting accelerated degrees, often bachelors that take 4-5 years on average, in 2 years or less).
In this video, I’ll be using WGU (Western Governors University) as an example, but this can be done at a number of different colleges. Just to name a few of the good ones: Thomas Edison State University (TESU), Excelsior College (EC), Charter Oak State College(COSC), University Of Maine At Presque Isle (UMPI), and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).
This process involves taking classes externally/testing out of classes using a third party site such as study.com, straighterline.com, or sophia.org.
Typically, this is most commonly done with certain types of degrees. Technology degrees, business degrees, education degrees and some health degrees are the most common types. But some of the schools offer other types of degrees as well.
This was previously only available to my paying clients and they were having incredible success with it but it’s such a good option for so many people that I decided to make it public and hopefully positively impact a ton of people. The tactics I use are a bit complicated though, so make sure to pay close attention.
    Enjoy!
    ~Shane

My only question is how serious would a employer take your degree? I'm assuming there are professors involved in WGU? And that's how they would make their money and why it's so cheap? The reliability of the degree seems questionable how many of the graduates actually land a job?

Hey Shane thank you so much for this video.
I am an international student athlete majoring in computer science and i want to do my masters after I finish my bachelors.
I want to do it at WGU,
Do you have a spreadsheet for master programs at WGU?
A video on master programs of WGU would be very helpful for a lot of people I think too :))
      Thanks :)

i think it also helps that specifically WGU they have a base tuition for 6 month term instead of pricing tuition based on how many credit hours you are taking which is what makes even traditional local state colleges more expensive and they don't have competency based learning they have traditional cohort learning.

TESU grad here! WGU was a school I considered before TESU however they didn't have the degree and class offerings I wanted. TESU is more expensive compared to WGU however I paided less with testing out of classes and tuition then my sister did for her in state community college associates. TESU does also offer a lot of transfer options that are beyond testing out and have a lot more options for degrees if you want something less common. I did also use straighterline too! So glad more people are hearing about this.

Loved the video and found the spread sheet! I only know one person who finished their degree in a few months and he’s probably just shy of a genius so I thought it would be impossible for me! He went to a traditional four year I believe but thank you for this information, I have two kids and if I can fast track the 6 classes I need for nursing plus clinical work that would be great! I am confused on how clinical would go with the nursing degree…wondering if they’d contact a hospital for me for clinical or if I would be responsible for talking a hospital I to letting me complete clinical there.

Hey, thank you for this video. It gave me an idea of what I want to do after high school, but unfortunately some of the requirements to the schools I researched on this list are either age, or require some credits. Are there any colleges with a self-paced curriculum I can go into right after high school?

I believe you can go to WGU right after high school as long as you meet their GPA requirements. I could be wrong though

What is more worth it if my end goal is not a 9 to 5 job? I want a computer science degree so bad but I cant decide if its worth it or not. I've spent 4 years going to college for a major that I realized I did not enjoy, so college gives me a 'bad taste' when I think about going back. I want to learn to code and have bought courses off Udemy and Code Academy. Im absolutely stuck right now trying to decide whats best for me being that I would rather start my own business then be locked into a traditional 9 to 5. Any pointers please, im real life stuck right now. Thanks

I hate career tests, they all ask me what i want to do which is the exact reason im taking the test. Just give me a general aptitude test and tell me what im good at.

Could you try this for UMPI or SNHU especially since they’re putting more restrictions with using Sophia courses.

You mentioned consulting. Do you provide consultation services for this process?
I am very interested in a business administrator/management degree.

I am a fully non-tech, non IT people, I don't know anything about this but however seeing the world going in IT, tech and AI. I don't want to remain backward. I also want to gain some tech knowledge. And my interest in on Entrepreneurship and business.
    My thoughts till now ;;
( Cpa, finance, little in tech , MIS , Business major )
    1. Major in finance and minor in tech
    2. Bachelor in any business as major(not decided yet) and doing cpa later
    3. MIS as major
But. I am really confused on what to choose, what to pursue !!
    I just completed high scht(+2)

Would you be able to do a course mapping for Athabasca University in Canada? It is also online but I don't know if it is competency-based. I would want to try this method at that school because of where I live.
