Hi Bery - Thank you so much for your wonderful tips - I was lucky enough to visit Istanbul this March and managed to see few of these places. Istanbul is truly amazing, your videos are even better :)
My favorite one is eyup sultan..easy to access by ferry and view point on hill close to eyup mosque gives spectacular views.very soothing inside mosque
I have to say that your content, is distinctive and original. You deserve more followers and support. I watch many other repeated content videos about Istanbul. And i can say that i am an Istanbul expert. You are the most one who gave me useful new information about Istanbul
Hello! In May I will arrive in Istanbul for the first time, I will stay for 4 nights and I would like to know if you recommend the Istanbul Tourist Pass for 3 days? From what I've read, I wouldn't stand in lines at most tourist attractions anymore, plus I'd get out cheaper!🙈 Thank you!
Hello to the Bery Istanbul team! I am happy to let you know that I am FINALLY going to be in beautiful Istanbul, Edirne, and Cappadocia for a month-long visit 🤗. Your videos have been most informative and helped me with my planning. In fact, last night, I was going through several of your neighborhood walks and taking notes 😊. I hope to spend about 3 weeks in Istanbul and would love to meet you both and share my appreciation for your channel and the work you do. I will be in Turkiye from the end of the first week of April to the end of the first week of May. Please let me know how I can get in touch. Thank you.
Wow! You’ll love those places!! Good choice with Edirne, especially if you’re into history, is a very important city in the country 😍 3 weeks in Istanbul will hive you the chance to really get to know the city’s soul and experiment more the local side which is awesome!
@Bery Istanbul Tips I picked Edirne because I read somewhere that Mimar Sinan considered the Selimiye Mosque his masterpiece. So, I figured that was something I needed to see and included in my itinerary. I watched your video and decided to spend 2 nights there. After spending MONTHS doing research on Istanbul, I realized that Istanbul was a place that had too many places to see and things to do, and spending less than 3 weeks there wouldn't do it justice. I also decided to stay in 4 different neighborhoods while in Istanbul (Sultanahmet, Sirkeci, Karaköy, and Üsküdar). I know that's a lot of moving around, but I want to get a sense for these neighborhoods, and I also know that I'll be back since I want to see the southern part of the country on another trip. I'm looking forward to spending Ramadan in Turkiye and experiencing Eid there 🤗. One last thing: I didn't find Istanbul to be cheap as some visitors gush. It looks like prices tourists pay have risen drastically in recent years. I paid an exorbitant sum for my hot-air balloon ride in Cappadocia. The domestic fare from Istanbul to Kayseri wasn't cheap either. Once again, thank you for your helpful uploads!
Hello Bery. Some doubts about a trip to Istanbul... 1) Which places do you recommend to exchange money in Istanbul ? Gold stores ? 2) Do I need a Universal Adaptor to charge my mobile phone ? 3) is there a Tax Refund when you leave Turkey ? Thank you so much for your tips.
Hola desde Australia! I absolute love your videos about things to see, foods, and others. Istanbul has been my dream city and finally I leave for there in 2 weeks. I have a long list of quality authentic restaurants to try and sights to see. I have 17 days there, fingers crossed. Anything unusual you suggest which only locals might know? Muchas gracias.
That’s amazing! You’ll have plenty of time to discover the city. I suggest going to Princes’ Islands BUT skip Buyukada or Heybeliada, both are waaaay too touristy, instead, go to Burgazada or Kinaliada, less crowded, and mostly Turks go there. Kinaliada video: th-cam.com/video/x057K-AHceI/w-d-xo.html Burgazada video: th-cam.com/video/pJ0Qc-_TI_o/w-d-xo.html You could also cover more the Asian side, is way less chaotic, and more local too than the European side. You can cover Caddebostan, Bağdat Street, we have really nice parks around this area, you can also rent a bike and ride it along the sea side, etc and plenty of chic cafes and restaurants. Bagdat street and Caddebostan video: th-cam.com/video/RXGYHR5xQnk/w-d-xo.html You can also take a long public ferry to the last port which is close to the Black Sea and then explore Anadolu Kavagi and Yoros Fortress, you can also see the 3rd bridge connecting both continents. Anadolu kavagi video: th-cam.com/video/Vs1TJveG0xo/w-d-xo.html You can also try one of the best döner in the city and is quite far from the city center, is on the Asian side but is worth it! Döner video: th-cam.com/video/R8Kq1I4P2Ag/w-d-xo.html If you want to escape the bustling streets of the city and take a nice walk in a little oasis in the middle of Istanbul, you can go to a beautiful arboretum, usually only locals are around. Arboretum video: th-cam.com/video/wolNDiZ1vf4/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps!
Hi there, thanks for your videos. Can you suggest some good hotels in Galata area? I'm looking for something possibly with a small balcony and a nice view. The price is variable, i'm not looking to be cheap. Thanks a lot.
I have a question , completely off topic : How soon can you re enter turkey with a multiple entry visa? like if I stayed 30 days and I fly out can I fly back the next day. I have 90 days but they are not consecutive. Would I have to make a new visa?
No. If you want to know the different ways to get to the center from any of the airports, you can check our guides on Thatch, we have the updated info there. share.thatch.co/B1B7
