The problem is a defect with the pin on the crankshaft...its can move out towards the crankcase plug. The shaft must be removed and the pin welded to the counterweight or it will come out of the counter weight agan... moving towards the crankcase plug and destroying it again.
@@shaffersmallengineshop5957 I did the same repair and the problem is the con rod pin slides out and eats that cover. It's not the crankshaft that moves, it's the pin. If you noticed the groove was like a donut. This was from the con rod pin. Did yours survive any kind of time? I'd love to know because the pin comes out and destroys what you just fixed.
@@joeganusi8522 if the crank pin was loose, I did not notice and it appeared to be in the proper location. It has gone back to its owner. I will advise him if he has more trouble to let me know. Thanks for the advice.
My personal blower like this starts on first pull, moves plenty of air and is my go to blower. Fingers crossed!!!!
Got one with same problem. Ordered new cover before watching this. Now after seeing your video I have high hopes to get her running.
Craftsman should be ashamed to put their name on this stuff nowadays, tools included
Thanks for you video and have a blessed day

This unit was eventually thrown away when crankpin came loose again. Non fixable 😢.
how did you get the pin to stay in the crank .
Crankshaft and rod seemed fine. Not sure how or why the rid wire the hole in the seal block.
