Just a tip. Don’t hammer the bearings in with a hammer like that. It’ll ruin the bearing. Use a pipe with a similar diameter as the outer ring and hammer on that to push the bearings in.
Thanks for the advice 👍
@@lets_make2x4 works too lol
If you find yourself needing to hammer in the same size bearings again and again, you can always 3D print something the same size as the outside diameter!
Thanks
What about a rubber hammer?
I'm so chuffed that I randomly just stumbled on this
😃👍
Don't be shy to talk. our many accents are like birds singing in God's aviary.
Haha
Except for Indians
I'm busy learning Hindi, I actually like the sound of languages from that belt of the world. You should hear my Afrikaans accent, or even better my mom's, she makes English sound like foreign. @@STOPSYPHER

This is a weirdly spiritual comment
Edit: and I like it
i saw the yt short!!!! I'm doing a science fair for school so this is what I'm totally gonna do! keep up the genus work!!!
Go ahead! Thanks 😃
I like this kind of work. It helped me save money, I will continue to improve in my way.
Thanks 😀
You are a really good engineer! Thanks!!!!
Thanks 😀
Do you havd any files so we can print this for our self?
Just a tip if youre planning on making this, you can skip printing the gears from the roll and directly put the motor to the spool if you add a PWM module to the input voltage of the dc motor. That way, you can reduce the speed of rotation of the spool and use less filaments for the structure and skip the gear ratios 😊
Adendum:
you can even add a potentiometer to the glue gun so you can adjust the temperature
Is it fine if we didn't use power supply? or just straight into the plug?
What isthe thread size/pitch for the m12 nozzle?
Is there anything I can salvage the gear mechanism used to hold the bobbin out of instead of building one? I only ask because I don’t think my local hardware store would have those parts (small town) and I would rather recycle them from trash than go buy them if I can.
I admire your project, congratulations. May I ask you if melted pet gives off unpleasant odors or is harmful in any way?
Thank you, it does not emit odors, because it does not melt the filament, it just bends it.
Wow! Really interesting! At what temperature does your glue gun heat up? Is it a high temp glue gun? Thanks
About 210C.
@@lets_make Thank you very much!
i have a nozzle changing glue gun but the hole is too small to get something through
do you think i can drill in the heating thing?
Not drill heater, only nozzle with 1.5mm drill
@@lets_make but the hole in the heater is too small
i have a diffrent glue gun@@lets_make
Drill hole with 5mm drillbit
Bro can we use regular extruder set for printing or is it need to use an extra extruder for this platic filament
Idk if youll see this but where can i get the base board for the project
Which gears do I need to print from the thingiverse link?
Or can you just send the ones I'd definitely need
www.thingiverse.com/thing:5200645
Can i use the original hot glue gun nozzle as the extruder? Mine is exactly 1.7 mm, is there any problem in using the original nozzle?
Hello, I wanted to say that I really like your work! I would just like to ask what are specific sizes for the board based on the video?
Lanjutkan video lain nya pak
Wait can you give me the link for the glue gun cs i went to 10 stores and i didn't find one with 100W
What the bearing size outer diameter and iner diameter
Ik the od is around 21.5 mm
What was the filament those plates were printed from?
3d printed files, printed with recycled bottle pet material
Ah! from the beer and ginger beer PET brown bottles, awesome I love that colour filament, I nearly have all the components to make a filament machine for PET bottles, I just need some NEMA 17 motors and Im off to the races.
If I don't have an old drill , how do I fix it ? Can I use a motor from a cheap 3d printer?
Did you make the tools with the printer?
That 3-D printed gear for your drill. Where did you get the file from?
my guess would be to use the gear that goes on the stepper moter but add a post to hold it with the drill or buy a piece of rod to use ( labeled "stepper_gear.STL") i don't know if that will actually work but thats where i would start im going to try this out idk yet if im going to use the head of a drill or a vex robotics motor/stepper
uppon looking at the file yes thats what you need but you also need hardware to clamp it to a metal rod ( i would groove the rod) there is a upgraded gear in the remixes tab if you have access to a file use it to file down a flat face on the rod with that one because it won't slip
I have been trying to find this exact sort of thing for about a week and a half now since I now have a spare 3d printer which would otherwise become e waste.
I have a hot glue gun that is adjustable in Fahrenheit, what temp is yours in Celsius, so I know what to adjust the temp to?
stl file.. which ones to download

@@lets_make which parts of it
additionally why is my filament peeling when it comes out of the hot glue gun@@lets_make
just download it all and open it 1 by 1 then figure it out what you need@@alexwang982
For how much time should we be pre-heating the gun?
About 5 minutes.
how much flament did this take to print
I Need to boost my hot glue gun and more thinner the plastic filament. I Hope that this work
Keep trying
How much did jt cost?
great idea!
Thanks 😃
Do i need a glue gun with 100 w?!??
Yes
Ok, not too shabby, but where's the video actually using this filament in a printer?
th-cam.com/video/Ik4b_BDYOTs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Rqa6X4y8Z4uUAjV1
Will this work with any hot glue gun
Any 100w power.
I want to know it is 200w work ?if that too hot for PET
Do you have any problem related to surface roughness. I designed a system which I use an extruder barell in it but the surface of the final product is so bumpy. Do you have any idea?
Surface of what?
@@lets_make Surface of the filament. I use PP for material.
Your filament probably has moisture or you're running it through the nozzle too fast, or it's not hot enough..
@@sedalespencer69 Thank you. Probably it has some moisture in it but I think that PP is a hydrophobic material so İt won't get an moisture in it.
Welcome 😀
Could I just buy it from you pre made? Just really lazy and don’t wanna do it myself
How much did this cost
Sir, give me a video for permanent use, not a temporary use video
I not understand
he want good design he dont want what you did on drill you just stuck the drill using screw hehehe btw i love your video and i have my own solution for he's problem
@@lets_make
can you send me one?
You need a bearing press bro.
That's making me cringe with every wack of the hammer.🤣👍
Haha yes 😃
ДОЛГООО МНОГО ВОДЫ

how u push the bearing is making me sick, i am mechanic 🥲
I have a hot glue gun that is adjustable in Fahrenheit, what temp is yours in Celsius, so I know what to adjust the temp to?
try around 200c
