Wow you're a great teacher l've watched so many videos on Tunisian crochet circle and it was impossible to understand but your instructions couldn't be clearer, you're a darling thank you so much. Greetings from Greece ❤
Thank you Soo much. I wanted to do this spiral 🌀 Tunisian st as a rug but I couldn’t figure out the increases and decrease. Totally makes sense how to do it. I crochet and very rarely use Tunisian style crocheting. Fell in love with this spiral. So thank you soooo much. I can now start my anticipated project. Thank you for the tips! I WILL NOT PANIC I WILL NOT FROG MY WORK!! 😊
I fell in love with Tunisian crochet because it is versatile and beautiful. I couldn't however make it look like it was supposed to no matter how many times I tried. I would always give up, frog the project, and just "regular" crochet. I saw the Tunisian spiral and it looked so fun and easy so I decided to try again yours was the only pattern I understood the mechanics and had it come out the way it was supposed to. You explained everything very well, took your time, and seemed very patient. I'm on round 4 and it looks great. I wish I could show you. Thanks so much for giving me the confidence to try Tunisian again. I appreciate it. Thanks.
Beth, I love your videos! Your instructions are very clear and you're so encouraging for all of us that are trying to improve our crochet skills. Love your positive energy - you are beautiful inside and out! Do you happen to have written instructions for this spiral pattern? I'd love to have a written guide for when referring to the video isn't practical at the moment, like when we're out somewhere. Please and THANKS for all the great work you do!
Wow! This is such a joy to watch - thank you, you've made this so easy to understand. I've wanted to do this for ages but been put off by complicated tutorials - now I can't wait to have a go.
I’ve watched several videos trying to figure out this stitch. After watching your tutorial the lightbulb finally clicked! Thank you so much for making something that seemed very complicated so easy to understand.
Thank you so much for this very instructional video. A great presentation of a technique I have wanted to learn; so much so that I have started this new project before finishing my current one !! (How naughty is that !! 😂) Thanks again. 😸
I do that all the time Edwyna - no foul! 😃 I have several more Tunisian tutorials on my channel... Thanks for the comment and welcome to my channel! Bethany
Thank you so much! Now I know what I've been doing wrong when trying this sort of pattern; I wasn't going up to a large enough hook! So happy I found your tutorial and I'll be using all of your tips when I start over. Again, thank you! You're a 🌟
Hi Anthony! This makes me so happy! You are exactly why I put this video out - too many crocheters get panicky about the T-Spiral. Welcome to my channel and I do hope you will check my other videos out! Bethany
Thank you so much for such a wonderful tutorial I made a spiral rug many years ago but with old age I couldn’t remember how I did it I found you and now I’m on the way to a new rug thank you 🙏 x
Thank you so much. I absolutely love this. So easy to follow. I have a question. If I use a yarn that is 4mm hook size recommendation, what size hook would I need to go up to? 😊 Thank you so much
On your channel for something else but looking at your hook review. I have these as well as a less expensive KP bamboo set that I started with. I bought a set of multicolored cables in various lengths but added the Mindful swivel in several sizes and love them. Don't keep mine in the cover, have a small folio where I keep both sets beside each other by size (so I can see the mm on the bamboo LOL). I prefer working in DK size yarns and use Tunisian and Tunisian mosaic almost exclusively.
Thank you for this video! I’m following along….it’s so pretty! So far my piece is about 14” across, and Im wondering what I’m making! Lol 😆 I have several throws already, and I’m thinking about making one of those circular vests (a circle with two armholes). Have you made one of those using this Tunisian stitch?
Great video. I want to try this with chunky yarn, which according to the label uses a size 8 hook. Do I switch to 9.5 and 10 or higher please for it not to pucker. Thanks!
oh, check your hooks, I have a Boye hook marked "K/10 1/2-6.50mm" and 2 others, also Boye, but are marked with Boye in quotations on one side, with SIZE K U.S.A. on the other. And the two without mm are 8.00mm when checked on a needle size gauge!!, the first is 6.50mm on the same gauge
Mine is laying flat except for the very edge of the round. It wants to curl under and I’m using an 8mm hook too. I stitch very loose, not tight do what could I be doing wrong? Can anyone help me?
So that it lays flat Donne - 2 hooks is the secret to that. Only 1 hook will cause puckering. I cover this pretty thoroughly in the video. Thanks for the question! Beth
Hi Tracey! I stick with the TSS because it works so well, but let me put some time around your question and see what I think... If so, I will post a tutorial in the future. Thanks for the question! Bethany
Then it is all about tension Rose. Everyone holds their yarn a bit differently, loosen up your grip a bit, and listen closely to my ENTIRE video (I actually call for more than 1 hook). That should do it! It absolutely works! Bethany
This is the fourth video I have watched to learn this technique. You have the best instructions. Thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful! I always try to make things as "learnable" as possible. Start with me next time...😉Bethany
Thank you! This only took one evening to push into my brain pan. Entrelac took 6 days. Whew! 😊
Love your page / channel 🎉
I am so happy I found your channel the possibilities are endless. I see tube socks!
Tube socks would be awesome! I like that! Bethany

Beautiful!! You’re a genius!
Wow, thank you! Go tell other people! 😍
@@ThimbleHooks I feel like you’re an undiscovered gem in the YT streets. I mentioned you a few days ago on a channel.
Thank you!
Thank you for a good tutorial. I’m so happy I found you. Signed your new subscriber. ☺️
Thanks Anita, and welcome to my channel. I hope you look around a bit; I bet you'll find a few other things you like! Bethany
Thanks a lot.💞
You're welcome Emel! 😊
I find that if you are getting puckering, you may need an additional sc into the magic circle, since everyone crochets with a different tension.
Thanks for the comment and the tip Jewelie! Bethany

Lol 😆 I have several throws already, and I’m thinking about making one of those circular vests (a circle with two armholes). Have you made one of those using this Tunisian stitch?
No I haven't DL. Actually, I haven't made one of those using any stitch...🤣😃🤣
I'm not sure why this wouldn't work though. Good Luck! Bethany
@@ThimbleHooks I’m gonna do it! And it’s gonna be AWESOME! 🤩

Great video. I want to try this with chunky yarn, which according to the label uses a size 8 hook. Do I switch to 9.5 and 10 or higher please for it not to pucker. Thanks!
Yes, exactly Mildred. I would go to a 10. Good luck and keep me posted - I like to hear updates...! Beth
@@ThimbleHooks Thanks for your quick response Beth. I am really excited. Can't wait to get started!
I was wondering what kind of tunisian hooks you are using?
Pretty design but would have helped to see how you change colors and we could see it better. But thank you
Can this be adjusted like can I use a 6 and a 7.5 to get the same flat results?
I have never tried it with those sizes of hooks (7.5?), but I don't see why it wouldn't work...Bethany
If I’m using a larger yarn that requires a bigger hook do I need to up it by a couple sizes?
Yes, I would go 2 sizes for sure Jessica. Thanks for the question! Bethany
oh, check your hooks, I have a Boye hook marked "K/10 1/2-6.50mm" and 2 others, also Boye, but are marked with Boye in quotations on one side, with SIZE K U.S.A. on the other. And the two without mm are 8.00mm when checked on a needle size gauge!!, the first is 6.50mm on the same gauge

Hi Wendy! No worries. I'm pretty sure I mention this in the video, but refer to this one:
th-cam.com/video/lfscnIXsRWo/w-d-xo.html
Bethany
where did you get that crochet hook?
Here you go Leslie - thanks for the question! Bethany
th-cam.com/video/U0HdRbHf7cA/w-d-xo.html
So why do we need 2 hooks?
So that it lays flat Donne - 2 hooks is the secret to that. Only 1 hook will cause puckering. I cover this pretty thoroughly in the video. Thanks for the question! Beth
Could this be done using the tunisian knit stitch?
Hi Tracey! I stick with the TSS because it works so well, but let me put some time around your question and see what I think... If so, I will post a tutorial in the future. Thanks for the question! Bethany
🤣😂☺️🤣🤣
😃😎
I changed to an 8 hook and it's still not flat
Then it is all about tension Rose. Everyone holds their yarn a bit differently, loosen up your grip a bit, and listen closely to my ENTIRE video (I actually call for more than 1 hook). That should do it! It absolutely works! Bethany
@@ThimbleHooks thank you
@@ThimbleHooks i will watch again
the camera angle makes it extremely hard to see the stitches you are going into. I gave up before you even finished the second round.
