The GX470 key is a bit different and uses CR1616 battery, thanks for this video.

My RX400h has a different module inside to the one in the video too. Two screws hold a CR1616 into the battery compartment.

Your video was very helpful, thank you for taking the time to post! I recently was in a Wally World with someone (not by choice) when I noticed one of the small businesses which sold batteries. He wanted $45 to open the key fob and an additional $25 for the battery. Needless to say, I walked out. In addition to what I felt was price gouging, he was not a pleasant person.

I'm going through this experience right now. I have a 2001 lexus es 300 and it has the same exact key. I'm guessing this key design is also used on all lexus and toyota models in the us from late 90s at least. I need to reprogram it now after replacing the battery.
This key looks pretty simple to work with. I can't imagine what a pain in the ass the newer models must be.

I doubt it would fit. The 2032 is twice the thickness. If it did fit, it would last over twice as long!
