The sentence "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is a so called pangram. Every letter of the english alphabet is present in this sentence. It is used since moveable types to illustrate the typeface. Today still used in the IT for the same purpose. And it somehow got to the fountain pen community. :)
