The L2000 is just one of the best pens I have ever owned. Feels otherworldly in your hand, the material is incredible to use and it of course writes beautifully. Not sure I’d spring for a limited edition but I’m sure they’ll all get sold!
The Lamy 2k is by far my favorite pen. At the asking price, I'd still consider it a bargain compared with Montblanc. I really didn't need to know that this exists There goes my discretionary spending.
@@mortuus4601 artificially limited to exploit FOMO. From a profit perspective it would make more sense to make more, sell at lower price in greater volume. This would also be favoured by fans.
Thanks so much for the video! I feel for this very hard, very quickly!! I was going to hold out for the 60th anniversary, but 58 is looking like a very good year...
The mark up on the limited editions is outrageous. I have the black Makralon and stainless steel and just cannot justify paying an additional £200 for a different colour.
Very nice, perhaps adding a bottle of associated ink and a leather carry pouch for the pen would make the package great set…. May attempt to justify a bit the price
I loved the colour as soon as I saw it. Then I saw the price. No f***ing way. I could buy a black Lamy 2000, a Pilot E95S, and a Sailor 1911S for the same money. I'd have paid a premium but not $400 extra, which is how it's priced in Canada.
Time for some affordable manufacturers to design and produce an homage to L2K with a dark green color barrel, and cap. I would gladly swap out L2K parts than to pay that absorbent price. Lamy needs to learn that their loyal customers are not happy for the surcharge simply for a different color.
50th Anniversary Lamy 2000 Black Amber …although that is also a Stainless Steel version. The finish is closer to a satin finish rather than the brushed finish of the regular Stainless Steel. But no Makrolon versions.
It is undoubtedly lovely but that's a very expensive notebook that it comes with - I can't think why else it's so expensive compared to the standard one.
The price is not justified at all Instead Lmay should release new colors of lamy 2000 each year so that the sales increase. The pen deserves larger market
It is quite amazing how pen companies assume that they can sell such overpriced pens. Like the seemingly endless supply of Lamy Safari 'limited editions ' this pen differs only in colour - with the addition of a book and a number on the clip.
Because they can sell them. Maybe not to you. But maybe to me - I have already bought two Safaris on top of one given to me. Lamy 2000 is another pair of shoes, although I love the color, I'm not into the price. But I think that there are people who might want to buy it, despite the price.

Is there any Lamy2000 version with section and barrel of the same colour? (except silver version ;) )
