- Over the last five months we have followed Kayne’s journey as he battles a DIPG brain tumor. This type of cancer is known for its’ grim prognosis. Kirsten, Kayne’s Mom, has served as his caregiver and best friend during this time.
In this interview, Kayne and Kirsten speak openly about the entire ordeal. Although they admit their faith is being tested, both mother and son still find comfort in the candid moments of life.
He lived a loved life.
I will never understand why this happens to the most amazing people.

I imagine that part of it is the experience they are going through that makes them the way they are. Most of us take things for granted. Take people for granted. Take health for granted. Take happiness for granted. When you’re staring death in the face, I’m sure it makes you appreciate life and look at it differently. Not to be morbid, that’s just my thoughts on it.
Not saying they weren’t born amazing either. That also could be the case.

Wow i am a 45 yeard old Dad and i cry. He nearly look like my Son and nearly the same age....he was such a nice Person
We love this man and everything he provided to his family.
Whew…boy mom here and o gosh the moment she started talking to him into the camera I was “uh uh. I can’t watch.” Whew. That is such a deep love a mother has for her child

He does have it all. He is all the right stuff. Perfection
I feel soo soo bad for parents but specially moms who have to go trough this. I stayed out of trouble so many times simply becasue I didn't want to see my mom hurt. That's the love we should never take for granted. I hope his parents find as much peace as possible after Kayne is gone.
