AFTER almost giving up on finding love, a quadriplegic has found his soul mate - at the rehabilitation centre that helped him with his paralysis. Cole Sydnor, from Richmond, Virginia had a life changing accident in August 2011, when diving in a local river and hitting a rock, that left him paralysed from the triceps down. The now 23-year-old has gone through rigorous rehabilitation to help accept his new body, but also found love in Charisma Jamison, who was a Rehabilitation Technician at the centre. The couple have been together for a year and now run a frank TH-cam channel documenting their lives as a interabled couple and the discussions that come with it. I love Charisma motto saying that a disability does not define someone. This is so true. Although my husband's situation is a temporary paralysis, your channel has helped me through this debilitating disease. Crazy thing is that I have been watching you all before Guillian Barre Syndrome effected my husband. I guess that's why I really appreciate you, Charisma looking beyond Coles disability because it really does not define who he is it just adds character, strength, and who he is as a person.

Kubwa Na Zuri I think they are hero’s and their families are as well yes they are in love and it is apparent but look at the obstacles that are stacked against them they are an interracial inter-disabled YOUNG couple that are brave enough to expose themselves and their challenges for a cause. They could have sat in the shadows and just watch people gawk and make sly comments but they put it all out there for us all to see.

I’m black and my boyfriend is white and also paraplegic. I never see my boyfriend’s disability, I just see him. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone.
While I'm not dating anyone with a disability, I do have two friends in wheelchairs, for different reasons and I myself never really 'noticed' the chair. Sure, I recognize that they're in one but it doesn't change anything for me, it's just how they get around. They're still funny and sarcastic, and sweet (sometimes annoying, but that's friends for ya) but I never once thought they were less than or different. It makes me sad that other people only see the chair and completely look over the person.

selle well that’s how it should be! My friends are my friends and I don’t view them any differently. If they need help I help, but mostly they’re fine on their own and they just want to chill and have fun. My friend who’s in a chair due to a car accident, he gets bullied a lot for it and I still don’t understand it all. He’s so kind and hilarious and he’s a human so why bully him for being slightly different.

My friend and I tell him all the time he's an amazing person who deserves amazing friends. I agree with a comment below. Not all disabled people have to be with disabled people. I am disabled person myself (amputee) and I would not want to be with a disabled person. Why? Because I want my limitations to be filled by someone else. For example, I can't hold my babies(twins) when I put on my prosthetic legs. Imagine how disastrous it would be if I had an amputee as a husband. We would have to rely on other people. I am someone that likes to be independent unless only when I am helped by someone very close to me like my mom or husband. But that is just my opinion so don't chew me guys 😂😂 I love that Charisma can help Cole when Cole needs something like picking something for him. I am so happy to see their channel grow. I hope I grow big someday too here on youtube!

The only conclusion to make from your negative statement is that you just can’t wrap your mind around her being with Cole and not having a physical disability. Could it be that they are both beautiful individuals that have a-lot more in common. The one thing that I love about them and as a whole their subscribers is that that they are positive. Out of all of their videos, and all of the comments you are the first rude, mean spirited, just plain nasty comment that I’ve read. This made me shed more tears. I was in a LDR with one Canadian guy for 1 year 7month. His families were so fond of me even though, they had never met me in person. Everything was great between us. We set a date to meet in my country (Ghana). Exactly one week 4 days to his flight, he had a car crash. The family and I rescheduled the flight so I could rather be with him. His only wish was to see me in person. I started with the necessary procedures. Hopping to show him that,, no matter the circumstances, I still love and cherish him. But unfortunately, he passed away 5 days later. I would preferred him in a wheelchair, roam around the house with him. But God's ways are not ours.

OMG! This couple is EXACTLY like my late husband and me! I'm black. I met and married a much younger white guy who was a quidriplegic already when I met him in a nursing home in June, 1998! He was my soulmate and LOVE OF MY LIFE! His name was Perry Jackson, Jr. So happy to see another mixed race couple just like Perry and me! God bless the two of them!

Wow.....my ex boyfriend was paraplegic and in a wheelchair. I'm a black girl and my guy was black as well but many would ask me, "girl, how can you be with someone in that condition".....they didn't understand. He was a lot of fun, very independent, we did a lot together. I met him at church at singles conference. He was very attractive, very attentive. He drove. Had his own truck and house. He opened doors for ME!We studied the bible together. He was very active and fit and participated in power lifting. ONLY problem was he suffered from PTSD and that part I could not work through. I was willing, but he didnt want the help. But I just want peop to know, that it is possible to love and have a relationship with someone who is different or have a disability.... Everyone deserves to be loved. God bless you both

She can be a hero in so many ways. Let’s be realistic... it isn’t easy easy finding a person who can be committed like this young lady has shown us when you don’t have a disability let alone when you have one. And remember that anyone can be a hero. He might be her hero as well. He might be the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

@@ingridhenryherbert330 I forgot I left this comment months ago! Very sweet of you. Sadly, I had to leave him due to his infidelity of talking to/meeting other women behind my back. Him being in a wheelchair didn’t phase his confidence lol I truly loved him wholeheartedly and wanted to get married but I found out he was selfish and not faithful so it wasn’t meant to be. No ill will against him and he’s still a good friend. The experience did teach me so much about myself, that I can love someone unconditionally and look past a disability. Everyone is deserving of love. Staying single until the right one comes along! ❤️ have an amazing day!

I was born with muscular dystrophy but experienced a lot in my life so most people think I was in an accident. Ever since I left High School I haven't dated much due to being sick and just one thing happening after another. To be honest, I was starting to lose hope and feel like I may never live differently than I am now. I feel like I'm just doing what it takes to survive rather than actually living. But videos like this are what give me reassurance and faith that , if I just put myself out there a little more, I will find the right person for me and there will be someone that understands my situation and I won't have to be insecure or embarrassed. You guys are a lovely couple and many prayers to both of you!
