I currently have a Mountune M400R package inside, and the mileage with this package is already about 50,000 km, with the whole car 76,000 km. I love this car.
K&N filter or any oil filter is really unnecessary(just sound nothing else) till bigger turbo upgrade, paper filter is just fine and won't let dust go into you engine. Mountune spark plug doesn't exist, they sell NGK(one step colder). Fantastic car btw, it will be a modern classic in this electrified/SUV era without hothatches.
Owned a 400+ BHP Focus RS myself. Never felt that quick due to the weight of the thing and literally started falling apart so got rid as soon as the warranty was up and currently have a GR Yaris which genuinely feels every bit as quick up to UK National speed limit. The RS engine did sound good though despite its well published faults and Ford build quality issues.
@@xIcarus227 new head gasket, / cylinder head replacement instructions were further revised as Ford didn’t replace oil feed pipe washers originally so loads then developed oil leaks afterwards or destroyed the turbo shortly afterwards as well. Headlight self levelling system prone to failing. Headlight switch prone to turning brittle and breaking. OBD port / coin storage flap prone to breaking. Recaro seat bolsters prone to excessive wear and tearing. PDC system erratic on some vehicles causing veering issues at speed. Exhaust flaps prone to seizing causing a limp mode. Just lots of niggly things really that show that it was built to a low budget. Suspect the high percentage of failures and total engine replacements were in part what killed off the RS brand. I did enjoy owning mine but fears of long term reliability once the measly 3 year warranty was up made me fall out of love with it and move on to the GR Yaris with its 10 year warranty including track use.
@@xIcarus227was that really just a batch? I thought they all had the head gasket issues…? I actually wanted to buy one for quite some time and this issue and how ford handled it really put me off. Had a few different cars and ended up with a GR Yaris as my daily as well. Can‘t complain. The Ford still looks and sounds quite nice though 👌
@@andrewbayram765 I think even Ford’s best legal team would have a tough denying warranty for broken bits of trim such as light switches and worn seat bolsters on a very lightly used car with less than 20k in 3 years

I always wondered because it coming through the speakers would be so annoying? I also don't get how that would work. If you're blasting music what happens? it turns down your tunes for engine noise? always wondered if anyone can clear this up...

Dazu kommt noch das man fair sagen muss das deutsche in getriebe Abstimmung weit aus effizienter agieren als andere siehe z. B. Das der neue rs3 einfach 300kmh schafft aber ein s3/ rs3 basiert meist auf ein haldex allrad was kein permantes allrad ist auch wenn dies immer so genannt wird bei diesen Fahrzeugen wird nur das heck zugeschalten wenn das Fahrzeug merkt das es Schlupf hat sprich sie sind meistens Front und dadurch leistungs effizient
@@anosvoldigoad8184 ja klar mit 7 gang dsg und besserer gang Übersetzung aber es kommt halt nicht nur auf 0-100 oder sowas an Autofahren ist mehr als 1/4 Meile rennen oder top speed ich hab nen focus rs blue and black und bin den rs3 8v auch Probe gefahren von nem Kollegen und der Ford macht halt viel mehr Spaß zu fahren, weil er agiler ist nicht nur über die Front Achse schiebt sondern auch mal mit dem heck tänzelt und preislich verlangt Audi halt ne Stange mehr Geld für ihre kiste, klar ist Geschmackssache aber für mich ist der focus das definitiv lebendiger Auto
@@nick6433 actually Haldex doesn't completely decouple the back end, something like 5% is always sent to the rear. I don't remember the exact explanation, it's something about residual losses. So Haldex still has drivetrain loss from spinning the rear axle like every other AWD system does. The reason it's more efficient than the Twinster in the Focus RS is because there's no rear LSD and overdrive gear, which together probably add something like 5-6% drivetrain loss. That's pretty significant.
I have a focus rs. The power falls off after 5k rpm. It shines on back roads. I live out in the countryside of Cali and let me tell you the amount of fun I’ve had. You gotta realize 420 crank is 370 wheel…. So yeah it’s not going to be impressive 😂

Which faults would that be? Aside from the batch of cars that got the wrong head gasket fitted I'm not aware of the engine having any problems.

Amazing car! The stability when driving on the Autobahn is also excellent. This car is not a FORD, but a German car.🌍
Sadly not German build quality though. Mine went back to Ford 3 times in less than 3 years for various bits breaking on it under warranty

I also like the rally look, but it should have one size smaller wheels with meatier sidewall tyres and get rid of the lowering springs.
