Wondering if the value body are diffrent between the Tdi’s and the gassers like the 1.8 or 2.0,,, I’m wondering because if I want to get an new auto trans do I have to ensure it’s meant for the Tdi and not the gass version
@@taco8v that’s what I thought because they all have the same O1m code but in Tdi club I can’t come to find a definitive answer. So would it be a programming(ecu) issue to get the right voltage for the solenoids.
I heard you talk about a transmission cooler for 0m1 thinking about getting one for my old lady's car don't know a whole lot about them wondering where you got yours and if you seen a difference it running cooler do really enjoy your videos
Just installed one on my 99 jetta with an o1m, i used the sonnax fitting kit. Id recommend increasing the fitting outlet size from 1/8npt to 1/4 npt. I got a big ol 25 row DeRale stacked plate cooler. The setup is supposed to use -6 AN hose, so 1/8npt inner diameter isnt even close to -6. When you look at a 1/4npt to -6 adapter , the inner diameter is the same thru the whole fitting. I had pipe taps ,so i chose 1/4npt for the adapter fittings. Anyways, this thing is awesome. I used to see 220-240 on normal cruising ,and ive seen 250 when running hard. Now on a cruise its like 150-170 and the highest ive seen is 190. It even shifts nicer and is more responsive. Elevated temperatures definitely cause shift quality issues, especially since i knocked about 80 degrees off on average.
I got one from a company named Rostra, its supposed to be an upgrade and ditches the weak ribbon cable for actual wires. I wanna say it was around 75$ us

They are the same i believe Just the solenoids received different voltages

I believe your existing tcu will work just fine just tdi transmissions has lower shifting points

Yes it extends the life of your transmission. I will post the links in my next video

Your skills would be appreciated in jamaica we throw away alot of those transmissions
We also throw them in the trash as well lol
buen trabajo. yo creo q puedes reparar la v 940
No grasias
Si.. Entiendo... Pero eres tremendo con la mecánica.
Where did you get the harness from ?
