Also hopefully omicron doesn’t kill me first.
Here’s the link all fixed now.:

Love ghe 'anti'battery-burn' trick/tip! Thx Brah! ❤
Genius brother, I’ve been using heavier gauge wire, and every other thing you could think of. This seems like the right trick that will work best. Thank you!
Yeah man
Hope you're feeling better thank you for the video ! A girlfriend that's a nurse was giving the covid vitamin D3, C anc Zink. Also be careful the amount of dairy products that causes congestion and makes it hard to breathe eat lite & clean
Thanks im ok now :)
@@taco8v cool man Glad to Here !! Hey I've got an 03 that slams into gear you think it's the valve body
@Lucky-ou4vz yup lol it’s s actually a valve getting stuck but is best to replace everything rebuild it with new solenoids and valves and sensors
I pray for your speedy recovery
Right now I only have one nose hole working and I’m afraid if I sleep both colapsé. But thanks for you kindness
Okay... that alt charge cable suggestion won you a subscribe from me. Good critical thinking. Annoyed I didnt already think of it... lol
Really you like it ? Is how I stopped the fuse box to continue burning.
You still here ?
Hi thx very much for giving us such great idea of placing the alternator cable, i just did it after watching your demonstration. Wondering if any problems u had even if it was trivial. Sean
I never had a problem after
Hope you feel better. Great video.
Oh god good thing i found this video. Only little has an expertise on these beetles. I have a question sir. my 2000 beetle 2.0 automatic has transmission problems. It loses power and stops when it gets warmed. We tried scanning it, and the error pointed out the Transmission Control Module. Now i dont know if thats really the problem. So I wanna consult you before getting a new TCM which is hella expensive. I hope you respond
Loses power what do you meant? Engine lose power or engine its running and revving but car doesn’t moves?
@@taco8v engine is running and revving but car doesnt move. Once cooled down, it starts to drive again for a couple of minutes
Ooh you need fluid in the transmission its low ,put a couple quarts in it and hopefully you haven’t burned the clutches yet
@@taco8v this applies to an automatic right? and I dont have to replace the transmission control module right away? sh!ts expensive lol
Yes automatic i know I mentioned clutches because automatic transmission have clutches for each gear including reverse. And manual transmission only has 1 clutch
And i cannot tell you if you need to replace or not any other stuff im sorry in many cases is best to just replace the transmission do to all the damage so here you are on you own buddy . Im just suggesting to add more fluid because it sounds like its dry it . And by adding more fluid you can probably save your transmission or maybe is to late Its a gamble
The Ghetto connection...luvin it 😆 🤣 😂
I've been gifted a 2000 Volkswagen Beetle from my mother who was dying of cancer. Sadly she passed away 7 years ago. I only drive her car once in awhile and it seems that when I shift from Park to reverse and then go from reverse to drive there is a delay in the gear shifting. The car is a automatic and has just under 80,000 miles. Is this something that all Volkswagens do sometimes or is this a warning that I'm going to have transmission problems? I just scheduled an appointment to have the transmission flushed because I think it's time. What do you think? I'm a new subscriber and I plan to stay I really like your videos and I hope you got over covid quickly
Hey man thanks for you support, the delay could be because is low of fluid or not receiving enough pressure from torque converter Or you try to do that when is cold it will do that!
@@taco8v yes I believe it is cold when it does it. You're so smart when it comes to a lot of things and I want to thank you. I'm a girl and I had a problem last week with my bug, the turn signals stopped working and so did the hazard lights. I TH-cam the problem and fixed it all by myself. The problem was the hazard switch but first I checked the fuse. Got a used Hazard switch for $20 and for $20 a gentleman put it on for me and now my signals work. I know if I would have taken it to a shop it would have costed me a few hundred dollars because let's face it, it's not cheap to have someone work on your Volkswagen Beetle. I am so glad my mother gifted me this cute little car. She's a yellow bug 2000 automatic and has under 80,000 original miles. I will have the transmission fluid flushed and an oil change the first week of October because I think she's due for both. I enjoy your channel and can't wait for your next upload. Have a great day
Your welcome and pay attention when they flush the transmission make sure you watching them doing it , sometimes they say they flush it but they only do the one at the transmission pan and not on the torque converter , for that they need remove the oil cooler at top and put and special adapter to connect the hose and run the car to bleed the entire transmission Not many people do that !
@@taco8v oh shit, they're probably going to do it the easy way and not do it the right way. Where are you when I need you LOL. Maybe I need to take it to a Volkswagen dealer to have it done right. Thank you for this advice, I don't want to pay for a Cheesy transmission flush
Whats your instagram or messenger?
Hello, thanks a lot for the video. I have a golf with an 01M that shifts late from 3rd to 4th. Do you think this could be a valve body issue? It also will slip from 1st to 2nd when cold but once warm it's good. It's got almost 400kms on it. I changed fluid and filter recently but still delayed shift from 3rd to 4th. Also, what did you clean the valve body with, water?
Solenoids are lazy and probably worn out is best to replace them
It was very helpful and or u ok and doing
Hola estoy bien grasias Im ok now thanks
Hope your better by now! I got a 2002 vw beetle 2.0 automatic. You can manually shift it to 1st, 2nd, 3rd. It will eventually shift on it own but not till it gets to around 5-6000 rpm. But only to 3rd gear it don't go to 4th. Any suggestions.
Bad valve body
I got a 05 jetta mk4 same engine the 2.0 I recently had problems with it not reversing at all before it went out I would creep a little forward then shift into reverse but going forward everything works fine though going uphill when it's cold it kicks forward a little it's at 159k going to service the tranny at 160k new filter fluid sensors etc would it be recommended to get a new valve body or just do the fluid change I know the previous owner probably never bothered to service the transmission so low fluid could be all it is but I need a second opinion on it
Try the cheap way by changing the fluids and filter and see if that likes it , and if you still seen this problem get a rebuilt valve body with all new sensors , cables and speed sensor
Hi man i got issue with volkswagen 1999 2.0l. it seems i got sound when i shift from P to R or D also when shifting from 3-4 or 4-3 it slides with sound what do you think i need to replace?
If transmission slips pretty much you need to replace it because clutches are sliding and all the solenoids are working how it should but clutches are toast
@@taco8v you mean the transmission will it not solve if I just get the valve body?thank you for the reply
@mun-eimasmawil2714 nope its not the valve body its the transmission
I have a MK3 01M. It WILL shift, but only if run the RPMS high or let off the gas after accelerating. I was thinking low/dirty fluid. Thoughts?
This is your valve body dirty or solenoids i suggest changing the valve body , but if you do please torque to specks Please do not over tightened because valve body can bend easily
@@taco8vI wonder if an oil and filter change would be enough.
@justinrrizzo sometimes a new fluid makes it worse lol this transmissions are weird but you can try to top it off instead of changing the fluid
Hello, I have a 1999 new beetle 2.0L I just got a Spark plugs , ignition wires for the tune up and And I’m do fuel induction service And I’m do fuel induction service done oh my car, but as I drive it, the check engine light blanks on it off my car began to shake, and then it lost power and came back, but as I drive it, it skips a little do you think they could be my transmission? I’m going to get a diagnose test tomorrow and it cost 125.
Buy a vcds one bin it will come very handy it cost 100 instead of going to a shop to diagnose you car .
If car has misfire it maybe your ignition coil
@@taco8v where can I get it from?
Vcds ross tech Googled
hey so i have a 2004 vw gti 1.8t with an 2.0L at trans, Will the beetle 2.0L AT trans fit my gti?
I have a Volkswagen Beetle 2005 and the transmission is starting to slip on low gear. Is there a fix to that?
Check the fluid level first if is low thats your problem if not there’s not a easy fix if still slipping it will need a rebuilt transmission or good used one .
Hopefully is just low on fluid
@@taco8v I’m assuming a rebuild is quit expensive!
Yup
Hello, I have the same Beetle but when I go to change gears it feels strong and it doesn't pull third until I accelerate to 40 miles, any solution???🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Maybe is low on fluid or you have worn solenoids maybe time to change the valve body also maybe a torque converter worse the case
great Job Taco 8V
A friend has a 2004 Beetle and it won't shift properly until the car has warmed up. Otherwise you have to lift
your foot off the gas and then it will. Kind of like Chevy powerglides would do when they were getting old.
Any ideas....water temp sensor??
Low transmission fluid man
@@taco8v Not being a VW guy myself, I didn't even think of that, but I haven't seen the car yet either.
I'll have him check that tomorrow and then let you know. THANKS!!
hi i was reading the 2005 is better than other years??? considering buying a 2005 with only 80 000 miles please advice
Mmm I personally don’t trust on any automatic at all
Hi, I have a problem with the transmission slipping in 4th gear. 1, 2, and 3 are good except 4th. I already replaced the valve-body with a rebuilt one online and the fluid level is good. Would I have a problem with the clutch pads?
Yes man clutch for 4th is burned :(
Theres some people the increase the pump pressure at valve body and has helped to last a bit longer and other way is trying to put a new torque converter and many cases solved the problem but im not 100% sure on this bud
Thats the advice i can give you
@@taco8v Thank you, I really appreciate the advice. I already increased the pressure; I'm gonna look more into the torque converter. Just really unfortunate cause I already did so much to this car and just now I know the 4th clutch is bad.
I have same engine and transmission. My transmission slips a lot on high rpm. What do you think it is?
Clutches are burned needs rebuild
Hi, got a 2003 vw beetle automatic. Stops shifting when hot. What kind of problem am I facing?
Burned clutches or low fluid
@@taco8v yes sir, will check in to that the weekend. Thank you
I have 2004 Beatles gl automatic 😮 doesn't pass 3rd gear goes only 60mph any help
That is your valve body
@@taco8v ok thank you
@@taco8v the car has two code p0748 and p3081 you sure it's the valve body
Yes those codes are for solenoids being bad And you not replace just this , you replace the whole valve body for a rebuild one and all new solenoids and sensors with ribon cable
Can you please provide the dimensions for the Snap On 3373 tool as we do not have in our country and I need to make one.
Update for you bud check my last video hope it works for you , im literally uploading it right now for you 👍🏼 Thanks for asking
Hi I'm needing some advice about my beetle I think something is going on with the transmission
Always check the fluid asap because you can burn the clutches if low on fluid
Each of those are fuse able links, when some does have an electrical issue you will melt that circuit. Put it back....
That cable only comes from the alternator buddy trust me you will know in your dash if the alternator stops working because it has a separate circuit to tell the dash whats going on .
You won’t melt anything there buddy I being doing this for 15 years and nothing has ever happened to anyone
Infact they stopped to melt that fuse box originally a problem from factory.
Don’t worry COVID won’t kill you
Bad..bad..get.another.dud.
Get some Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and you will be good as new 👍
